Very odd incident for Vergne, come on Hamilton...

EDIT: Did Bottas' sidepod just explode?

Hamilton tops P2 by two tenths from Rosberg. Although his engine died with 30 mins left to run.

Rosberg and Ricciardo were summoned to the stewards for overtaking when the red flags were out.

Both have escaped with a slapped wrist.

Airbus and GE stickers are being peeled off anything Caterham. Fear for their future.

Of course. They have just been sold so they are no longer owned by an airline group.

Not really the sponsors had the majority share if I read into this right ... New owners would demand money for sponsor still being on the car I expect or just sticker over them :)

A lot of the team's sponsorship deals were actually Business-to-Business agreements, and very different to any of the existing sponsorship deals on the grid.

Besides, it was obvious that those sponsors would leave following the sale.

Funny hearing Susie Wolfe speak, she sounds like a native German trying to speak English.

ps, I know she has a German husband, spent some time in Germany etc.

Hoping for a solid result from Jenson. Ron Dennis's recent comments have been pretty out of line. Jenson's consistently outperforming new boy Kevin Magnusson and has a pretty good points tally, but McLaren really need to deliver on the car. They went through a similar wobbly period a decade or so ago if I remember correctly. I don't like it when the drivers become a scapegoat when they are clearly capable of great things. Jenson might not be in the top 5 or so drivers if they all had the same car, but he would be snapping at their heels.

I'd never made the connection that Toto Wolff was married to Susie Wolff. The more you know...

I am still not used to Copse not being the first corner =\
I hear that. If you went to Silverstone 17 years ago & came back for the first time this year,
you'd think you were in a different country.
This track has been totally butchered beyond recognition just like the last venue in Austria :irked:

New Caterham Livery looks really good, nice and clean.

That's what happens when you live in a country for a while, you start to speak English like the locals do.

Both Williams out in Q1 :ouch:

This is the worst performance by a pair of Williams since the Ladies Doubles at Wimbledon last week.

And both Ferraris out in Q1 too

Both Marussias through, both Ferraris and both Williams out. Who'd thought it?

What an interesting turn of events.

Ferrari. Oh dear. The only people slower didn't set a slick time.

Strange weather. I am only 162 km away and it is hot and sunny here.

They waited till the last minute for the track to dry up some more, but it rained again. That with the yellows meant it was curtains, they should have been out earlier but it was a bit of bad luck.

Throw a bit of precipitation in the mix & it certainly shuffles the pack.
What shocks are in store for Q2?
