Boro had a few decent chances to score a second but I'll take 1-0 at HT. :D I just hope Karanka doesn't tell them to park the bus for the next 45 and invite attacks, he often does that even when Boro are in control.

Yellow scored. :P

From star to schmuck in no time. What the hell. Giant wound.

Brighton improved a lot in the 2nd half, they looked more threatening but they didn't really have any clear chances to score again. Can't wait for next season!

17. Sunderland - P36, 35pt
18. Newcastle United - P37, 34pt
19. Norwich City - P36, 31pt
Norwich lost to Manchester United, Newcastle drew with Villa and Sunderland beat Chelsea.

If Sunderland beat Everton during the week, Norwich and Newcastle are down. Ouch
If Accrington win (vs Stevenage), they're up.
They didn't.
If Oxford win (vs Wycombe), so are they.
They did.
Bristol have to win (vs relegated Dagenham) to have a chance and will go up if one of Oxford or Accrington don't win.
They did, with a last minute goal, promoting them as Accrington didn't win.
The team that doesn't make it has home advantage in the playoffs against Wimbledon. Meanwhile Portsmouth will play Plymouth in the playoffs, but whichever team has the better result today will take home advantage. If the results are the same, Portsmouth take it unless Plymouth score eleven more goals.
Portsmouth lost, Plymouth massacred Hartlepool and have the home advantage.

Really chuffed for Burton Albion's second promotion on the bounce. Their goalkeeper, Jon McLaughlin, was one of my best mates at primary school, and he's married to a girl who was in my form group at high school. He was named in the League One Team of the Year too :D

So far in the playoffs we've had two teams who missed out on automatic promotion on goal difference (Brighton, Accrington) eliminated by the fourth-place playoff team (Wednesday, Wimbledon). Meanwhile Walsall, who missed out on automatic promotion by 1pt, a 3-0 down to Barnsley after 1 leg...

The media machine for Wimbledon will go into overdrive next season if they go up; they'll be at the same level as Milton Keynes.

Amusingly in all three divisions the playoff final is the 2nd ranked team vs the 4th ranked team...

Shoutout to Barnsley who were bottom of League One in December. They didn't just avoid relegation but actually went all the way and got promoted too.

Which also means AFC Wimbledon vs MK Dons in the league next season...

Considering the club was formed in 2002, it's seriously impressive.
