And so concludes an very lacklustre season of Formula 1.
When it was good, it was really good, but that wasn't often enough. The only truly, truly great race was Hungary, which was one of the best I've seen, honestly. And when it was bad, it was really bad. I love F1, but right now, if you mention something about it, I'll find something wrong with it.

What a boring race  anyway Nico has been dominant the last few races fair play to him, needs to do it when it counts.

Can you imagine the fia just penalizing them for doing burnouts?

so charlie who do we penalize

Rules maybe the same but hopefully renault and Honda get their act together, Hopefully the Fezzas catch up to the Mercs fully aswell.

Well that was a dour ending to a mostly dour season with a few highlights.

2016 rules are mostly the same, it's 2017 when they're planning big changes. Unfortunately, the changes they're currently planning are going to make racing worse, not better.

Saw it, good grief is the FIA trying to make what was once the pinnacle of motorsports an even bigger joke?

Edit: Fixed It

I don't quite understand the decision to stop Hamilton so late, Hamilton started the 2nd stint over 6 seconds back but got within the DRS, surely mirroring the 2nd stint would have at least resulted in a chance to overtake.

Bernie Ecclestone has absolutely nothing to do with the technical nor sporting regulations of Formula One racing. His job is to negotiate agreements with race promoters, sponsors, shareholders, and broadcasters. Also, to say ridiculous things every three months or so, because that's what you can do when your net worth is greater than Africa, the Rolling Stones, and Donald Trump put together.

Hamilton asked to do his own strategy. After Rosberg made the pit, he chose to not stop right after, so that at the end of the race there was gonna be a greater difference of performance due to different age of tyres.
After a few laps, he was thinking that the tyres were good enough to stay on track a little more.
Then, he asked the team if he could just go until the end of the race without pitting again. The team said that was impossible, the tyres wouldn't last that long, or would have an awful performance. So Hamilton asked for super soft, but the team said that soft were the best option. In my opinion, lasting just a few laps, the SS were the best options... putting the soft again left Hamilton with newer softs x older softs from Rosberg, but the laptime difference wasn't big enough that in 15 laps he could cut the 12s he was behind.

So, only two days of running left in this season and no word on the RBR engine deal or Renault's takeover of Lotus? I presumed these things would be resolved by today.

And only four pages on GTP, that says a lot about the state of the sport.

I can only hope that someone can match the Mercs next year; the only GP I actually watched live was partly due to the fact that it didn't have one of those leading after the first corner, the Hungarian GP (a very good watch, overall). The few others that I bothered to tune into I saw Lewis/Nico at the front, assumed it was going to be a procession, and switched off...

For the last race of the season, it's really sad.

So similar to 2013?
Most likely, things will get prettier. :D

Not gonna lie, extremely hyped for Haas F1. I hope the car and livery look good. And hopefully the car performs better than it looks. :D Low expectations though, it's a startup team after all. However, the fact their receiving support from Ferrari gives a little hope.
