UK pricing revealed:

Ecoboost: £28,995

I was pretty much in the ballpark for predicting the price of the Ecoboost, but I thought the GT would be much more expensive.

👍 Somewhat cheaper than i was expecting too.

UK (and Euro?) models come very well equipped as standard as well. You can spec all the remaining options for less than £1800.

At 299g/km for the V8 you'll get slapped for tax though. The EcoBoost is lower at 179g/km, as expected.
 
I noticed that article mentioned the 5.0 V8 getting an upgrade to 500hp later down the line.

If that turns out to be true, then the mustang will have a NA motor making 100hp per litre which is pretty nuts for a mustang. :drool:

Actually, the V8 is meant to have 412 hp if the converter is working correctly. I reread the article, but I haven't seen any mentioning of 500hp for that engine (Shelby supercharged engines will defintely have more than 600 and even 700 hp).

Also, the article refers an Android and iOS app called the "Virtual Mustang" app, where you can configurate your own Mustang and either show it in a scenery of your choice (using the camera of your device, tablet or smartphone), or share it with your friends. You can also listen to the engine, which is the best part... :drool:

Oops my mistake, :dunce: I meant from the AutoCar link that was quoted in the post before your post regarding the 5.0 V8. :D

But yes, The Shelby supercharged engines will be powerhouses. :eek:

Good thing you've mentioned that actually, pretty neat that Ford is actually considering a power upgrade for the V8. For once, I'm happy that the Mustang can be more powerful, because now that it has a proper rear suspension, it means that the car can cope with the power much better. :D
 
I'm an avid lover of Mustangs in general, but this thing is ugly as hell. The Mustang may be from Ford, but I HATE the Fusion. That's what Ford is telling everyone with this design; a Ford Fusion with a gasoline engine. I'll stick with my 2008 instead.

All Fusions have gasoline engines....

And, there will be Mustang fanatics that will hate it, but people that never cared about the Mustang that might love it and will replace the average Mustang buyer. I live in a small town and have seen several on the streets already. They are selling quite well right off the bat.

Also, I haven't seen many Fusions, but I am sure that the new Mustang does not look that much like a Fusion. Just saying...

And the Fox Body looks like a Fairmont, the II looks like a Pinto, etc. Why does it matter.

Fair enough, but I still finding hard seeing clear similarities between both, just minor details. And it's common these days that cars share platforms, so there is bound to be some sort of similarities between cars of the same brand. I get it that you don't want to sound like an :censored:hole, dont' worry, but I don't really mind that the Mustang might look a tiny bit like a Fusion. It's the performance that I care about, and this Mustang has made major advancements in that department.
 
The Mustang looks a lot less like the Fusion than the Evos did.



That most Fusions actually on the road look like rental cars (no body cladding, disproportionately small wheels, filled in foglight areas, etc.) instead of fully loaded car show queens further masks the similarities.

Well, there are discernible differences between Fords, not quite the same happens with Volkswagen group cars. You can tell Fords apart because they all have their own style while representing their brand. VWs just all feel like they came from the same designer, who just stretched\shortened\widened the body. Bar the XL1 (which actually looks different) and perhaps the Up, I don't find many Volkswagens to be that different from one another...
