That Le Mans Spirit thing is something that needs to be better explored. Last year, in Interlagos (here the event was called Le Mans 6 Hours of São Paulo) my brother, a guy who likes F1 and some rallying, asked me "what is this Le Mans they keep talking about?"

Kudos for WEC for bringing this Le Mans style start for the other events.

Australian GT does a close to proper Le Mans style start in the Highlands 101
 
David Brabham will replace Van Overbeek in the ESM #31. JVO broke a rib sneezing.Midweek Motorsport will reveal the Brabham announcement tonight but the WEC already updated the entry list.

The other day I felt a blow to the chest (had a cold) when I had one so yes I know lol. I thought it was funny just because the other day a baseball pitcher player in the MLB was out for opening day because he "apparently" (as they put it) pulled a muscle in his back...from a sneeze. :scared: Need to outlaw sneezing. :dopey: :lol:

I wish Porsche would use other colours for their car, like, I dunno, red? They have done that recently, and it looked pretty cool. Why not do such a thing again? They don't have to make their cars look so austere...
 
Yeah. I understand that white/silver are German racing colors, but when I think of Porsche, I think of blue, red, yellow, green, etc.

I don't even like the Porsche Intelligent Design being plastered across the car. Quite contradictory if you ask me, considering there's no intelligent design in that livery. :sly:

Lucky you if so. I've got no friends interested in endurance racing so MotorsTV is as close as I'll probably ever get. I'd love to do the whole camper van trip to Le Mans someday.

i was going until my friend double booked with his holiday.its just a shame that eurosport only show the last hour of the races. the picture quaility on motors tv is terrible.30 mins before the race il be scanning the 7 east and 10 east satellites for the raw broadcast feed. no adverts then and in hd.thats the only thing i hate about motors tv.they really need to move with times !

These are minor things and they don't detract from the enjoyment of the WEC for me.

ive noticed it. eurosport hd osd is fine, so is the raw video broadcast feed.i dont why motors tv mess with it. all i do know is they compress the the video quality to save on satellite capacity which is why its such a poor picture.
 
WEC streaming pack isn't available to buy yet is it?
 
Fox Sports 1 is airing all 6 hours of the Silverstone race this weekend. Lucky for those of us who have the channel, but at least we're getting coverage now.

Which is actually better coverage than that of our own home-based TUSC. :lol:

People were purchasing it last night on the MWM collective. Perhaps a case of deleting and then reinstalling the app if you are doing it on a mobile device to kick in the update properly.

not seen it on the wec site yet but i did see that about fox sports showing it. its just usa fox sports, not european fox sports.as long as we can all watch it 1 way or another then its all good.iam sure it will become more freely available as it becomes more popular.in terms of wec, its only really starting to get popular last season i think.

Kinda what happens when Nascar owns you:
Everything you get is 2nd rate, including coverage. Shouldn't be a surprise for those of us there back In the Grand Am days.

It was like that with Speed Channel. I have the 2009, 2010 and 2011 editions on my media PC. I remember how pissed I was when I found out that the 2011 coverage was interrupted to broadcast some meaningless Nascar practice in some god forgotten oval.

Edit: the same thing happened with the other two races. Sadly, it's really hard to find Eurosport coverage.
