Cosworth hasn't been a builder of Ford engines since 2003.

They did, right up to 2007, for ChampCar, though it wasn't a new engine, or any different from the 2003 spec, so you're more or less right, but the idea of the Cosworth brand coming back to motorsport properly is rather exciting,

I'd argue the exact opposite
Interesting. :p Ive watched hundreds of NASCAR races. If its green for a little while the lead will be the same. I find it to be very zzz. Lol. But back to topic. And many of us in this thread will agree that WEC is the best series currently. :)

I would say V8 Supercars is the best but to each their own I suppose.

Ive only watched 1.5 of those. USA doesnt have very good coverage. And I already have a full race schedule. With NASCAR, Rolex series, WEC, and GTPlanet Endurance series. :D

I prefer IMSA, BTCC, NASCAR, and V8SC better, but if you do that's cool 👍

@HKS racer open your eyes, learn about safety, and stop being such a juvenile fanboy. I bet if it was #96 penalised you would saying it was deserved.
It's not about being fanboy not that you looks more cool to the eyes of the girls if you call another member that way,
it's about an harsh penalty for something that didn't cause trouble since the mechanic took the rolling tyre way before the end of red line.
I think 1 minute is too much I would have accepted something like 15 seconds like the Porsche #17. 1 minute is really that harsh.

I think the penalty was right because they violated the rules. But I would argue the other way: The Ferrari penatly was ok, the Porsche penalty was just way to low. Audi got the same penalty for overtaking outside the course in Silverstone. I think the FIA rules catalogue needs an update.

Pretend...? I don't think anyone knows how competitive they will be, even them, until they arrive at Le Mans.
But did they ever raced once? It's quite an adventure going to LM24h and face all the other LMP1 cars without a single race or decent testing.

Not with this car this year no, they've been trying to get it to work.

Id like to say I'm grateful for no more Zeod, but I doubt the Nissan P1 will be competitive
This year it's doubtful, but they knew that. All along they've been saying 2016 is the year they plan to go for a win. At least they're realistic about how the car will perform this year...of course if the Audi and Porsche reliability issues continue...and Toyota's bad luck at Le Mans continues...anything could happen. :odd:

Watch none of the LMP1's finish.

*and no one! Not one person! In the world expected to see Gustavo Yacaman win the 24h in a P2 car!*

Audi relaiability issues? Car #7 didn't have any at Spa. Car #9 as far as I know it's a bit the experimental car so quite normal having issues but I don't think they'll experiment at LM. Toyota this year is simply not fast enough to stand a chance for Wec or LM.

Hey it's far fetched but an Audi losing braking with 5 minutes left in a race is slightly shocking. And you don't know...Toyota has the weirdest luck at Le Mans.

Keep in mind the Audi was a dog last year and still scraped 2 wins. GT500s are quicker than the 2014 R18 was. Anything can happen.

Not just any GTE car, if it rains moderately all race, preventing all cars from thinking about slick tires, then the reliability issues take out all P1 cars, then ideally the Viper would win!

No...Aston Martin would win. :P

Most likely but no, if the Viper won overall it would put a bee in the Dodge bonnet for revoking funding from the factory outfit, not only would Vipers still not sell, but second hand ones will!

Phew! Its been fixed. Thats a relief!
