Interview with Anthony Davidson. Hope this article relaxes some of the worries about Toyota's pace.
I was getting a concerned about Toyota's pace I admit. Even though the 2015 car is lighter than 2014 and has a more efficient supercapacitor, there was part of me that thought they perhaps played it too safe or got complacent as they had for the most part a pretty decent advantage last season over Porsche and Audi.

Hearing that they have a package designed specifically for Circuit de la Sarthe certainly gives me greater hope.

No matter what happens over the 24h this year I think we are in for an incredible race with 11 works LMP1 cars barrelling into Dunlop Chicane. There will be more goosebumps and butterflies when the pace car peels off than ever before.

Really awesome video explaining the advantages of the Nissan over Toyota, Audi, and Porsche this year. :)

That was very insightful. The most interesting point for me was the significantly higher mass over through the front axle which can be used for the KERS. With the Nissan GT-R LM Nismo I was thinking more about all the power being deployed through the front wheels and it's aero efficiency.

In that case...Nissan is ****ing genius.
Best exploitation of the rules ever. I can't wait to see how fast it will be going at the end of Mulsanne compared to thr other cars. :D they will all be cruising along at about 215. Then here comes the Nissan!
:p

I wonder if any new manufacturers that join in the near future will copy the concept in a way.

Only if the concept proves itself to be a very efficient one. It it flops in racing action and never proves its worth, it'll probably be forgotten...

True, this year we probably won't find out, it's next year that we'll most likely find out how well the concept actually works.

Nissan, can you please keep this colour for your car? If you're going basic colour on it, you might as well make it look badass.

I agree. But if I were to make a guess, I'm going to say this is the third car they have planned to enter the race, and the other two will keep their colors (blue and red).

I almost forgot about the Deltawing...and that it was meant as a P1 concept. :odd:

Thanks to Porsche and Nissan we'll have some nice splashes of color in the P1 grid at Le Mans. :D

Toyota has some blue in it! ... :P Last year they were all black and white weren't they? lol

Besides the Toyota...yup. This year its slightly more different :p
Porsche - Black #17, White #18, Red #19
Audi - B&W/Silver #7, #8, #9
Nissan - Blue #21, Red #22, Black #23 (just hunches...but good hunches)
Toyota - Blue/White #1, #2 (crud...do they have a third car for Le Mans?)

Nevertheless, it would impress other companies if Nissan managed to finish the race, or at least get some sort of record (things like the fastest lap or a speed record)... It always helps with promotion.

I don't think the blue car will show up for Le Mans, wasn't that just a Manchester City tribute? Or are you refering to the Nismo one that was caught on photos a while ago?

That battle for P1 is really heating up! My first Le Mans was:

Audi - #1, #2, #3, #4
Toyota - #7, #8
Rebellion - #12, #13
