I'm all for Jaguar! The F1 venture wasn't really worth it, but sports cars! Bring it!

Id like to see Ferrari do a P1 program, that would be great for the sport, and perhaps bring Alfa Romeo back to Le Mans in GTE, we haven't seen an Alfa in sports car racing for far to long! The 8C would have fitted in well with its generation of GT class cars,

Alfa have more of a history in the P1 style classes.

Alfa have more of a history in the P1 style classes.

But Ferrari have far more results. Which doesn't really matter, since I doubt they would commit to F1 and Le Mans at the same time. Couple years ago, Montezemolo put an end to a wave of rumours about Ferrari building a LMP1 car saying that they couldn't do both, F1 and Le Mans.

I thought he was referring to P1s being faster then F1(which is still a huge gap even with current regs).
No it's an old "joke" around Maranello and by die hard Fezza fans. Nothing can be faster than a Ferrari. Which is what they think anyway. In Maranello there's God and then there's Ferrari. So being faster than Ferrari is like insulting God...alright maybe more like insulting somebody's mother. :P

For the rest of us...it means nothing.

Maranello: Ferrari > Alfa Romeo
World: Ferrari ~ Alfa Romeo

Those are mandated by the rules and regulations.
I know, it was the subject of discussion after the test day. Some one said the car was illegal because it had no wing lights.

The extra lights on the bottom are new and where introduced after the crash at spa!

I'd love to see Jaguar give LMP1-L a go, just to spice it up.

Still doesn't change the fact they were there before spa.
Look on the diffuser thing, ther is three lights on it no?

Im not sure of the exact dates of the changes made, but I don't think the wing lights where on ther during the test!

Ah you mean the really inner "turn signal" looking kinda lights. Yup those are new. And the wing lights are something they were required to put on...just took em' a while. :P

Forget Ferrari. I'm tired of all the hype. I meet so many people who think they're hardcore racing fans just 'cause they like Ferrari. On the other hand, I would support an outright Alfa win in a heartbeat.

So much untapped racing nostalgia buried in Italy at the moment, even Maserati don't have a full fledged GT3 aside from the Gran Turismo S that appears occasionally in the 24h series, I think we all have a soft spot for Italian cars, we are just bored of Ferrari and the fan boys of that manufacturer,
