Any one got the speed trap results for the le mans test day?
 
Umm guys.

Audi are NOT going F1.
@Holdenhsvgtsr interested in the Jaguar turn around...
BMW is a rumour still, but gathering pace.
Porsche may be leaving GTE as a factory team end of year.
Corvette are stateside only.
Ford plans are unknown as to if TUDOR or WEC?
Toyota only currently committed to 2017?

Anyone who thinks Audi is going to F1 is UNDER THE INFLUENCE.

Jaguar would probably be 2017...F-Type GTE swag. :drool:

BMW is likely...especially if a Garage 56 entry is what they are thinking first.

Porsche is likely to cut their factory direct support of GTE, treating it like GT3.

Corvette is obvious. :p

Ford will probably use Ganassi for IMSA, and Multimatic or somebody else will forge an effort in the WEC. I think both would go to Le Mans though.

Toyota...are a bunch of loonies so...who knows. But being that this is their only big factory effort, they'll stay probably.

Still though...this is epic. And I predicted that would be the setup...and I'm usually wrong...yay! :lol: But seriously this just keeps getting better and better. :drool:
 
Now what team in Europe has the ability to run a factory GTE program?

Would that be at the old Lola facility then as Multimatic bought all of the Lola assets did they not?

I believe so. The article (last I read it) seemed to mention that. How fitting, the old Lola factory is now the home of the new European Ford GT effort. :gtpflag:

***The 2016 GTE regulations will be released on Thursday alongside the details of the 2017 LMP2 platform, ACO Sporting Director Vincent Beaumesnil confirmed to Sportscar365. It’s understood a “few surprises” could also be in store for the annual ACO press conference.

***Beaumesnil confirmed the GTE-Am class next year will remain for cars at least one year old and will not adopt the 2016 GTE regulations. This means the two GTE classes will be run to different technical regulations for the first time.
 
That meens we will we both a hybring and a non hybrid Aston Marten! :lol:

Actually, they can't. That's why they left F1. Luckily they won the 2014 WEC season, but if the TS040 project isn't a success, I can perfectly imagine Toyota quitting it.

But they won with the TS040, so it's already a success..
 
When you already have F1 that are much faster being complained on for being too slow this is one thing you don't do.

I was looking forward to the gap between LMP1-H and F1 closing.
