Well, ToroTrak had indeed had them on - you could see it from space. Good to see they're out of that mess.

Foxtel coverage Suzuka:

Today Sunday Ch.511 (HD) 11:30am-8:45pm Sydney 👍
That's the Endurance World Championship (Suzuka 8 Hour), for motorcycles. ;) Admittedly, the Foxtel guide is a little misleading though.

High Downforce GT-R says hi. Bulbous nose gets chiseled considerably, almost looks like a different car.

Well, it does indeed look like a car that has been trimmed signifcantly, and it manages to look a bit prettier in the process. Hopefully these cosmetic changes are also good perfomance changes, because God only knows how much the GT-R LM needs those.

Looks like the side isn't completely flat either. I think it might actually look good in this trim.

A lot of the FWD bashing has died down, but it's still frustrating how some of the skeptics/misinformed/ignorant were keen to attribute the lack of pace to the layout. There are even people who still think it's FWD.
Its because it was idling for a third of the lap. And its suspension was not tested on curbs it seems. :P Wouldv'e liked to see a full pace lap though... just because. :P

There were a couple times I think during the broadcast that the announcers were impressed with it's straightaway speed. A Toyota I think had passed one exiting Mulsanne and pulled away slightly, but by the time they got to the entry of Indianapolis, the Nissan was right behind him keeping up no problem.

Well, you can't deny some serious overtime has been put in this car.

Indeed, they have reworked a major portion of the aerodynamics, and it shows where did they do such modifications. The front end, for example, has had major tweaks in form of those metal bits below the front lights and the black parts as well...

On MWM now, we're likely going to be 2 Porsches down in GTE next year. Developing a new GT car instead.
