1 minute stop and go is ridiculous. Sounds like racism to me. Envy toward Jimmy and his car.

Who is the racist steward that gave 1 minute stop and go to Jimmy?

What is it with you? Don't you understand the rules? If a car had hit that wheel it could have killed someone. That's what the RULE is for. It HAS to be a draconian punishment for that reason.

This was a fantastic race! I want to hug the ACO/FIA!!!!! This is the greatest championship in the world! :D And Aston won GTE-Pro and Am! Wooooooh!!!!!!!!!!

Roo
Stop being silly.

Looks like there's a clear favourite at Le Mans next month.
I've never seen 1 minute stop and go for something so small.
That tyre was catch in time.
That was completely unecessary

Seems like Ferrari has gained yet another hater.

Don't forget the ACO, I'm sure the FIA alone would've ruined it. :D

Mark Webber had a premature champaculation...

Seems like Ferrari has gained yet another hater.

That's BS. The tyre is round and can eventually roll away with only two mechanics managing it. But they catch it in time. So it was totally unecessary.

Really? So if a car traveling a 60 KPH hits a wheel, that won't hurt anyone? Why, because it's ROUND? Because it ROLLS? Really? Take the Ferrari blinkers off.

The tire is also heavy and can get launched down the pitlane if a car strikes it. The rules are there for a reason.
Indeed, it's not like we haven't seen horrid injuries from loose tires in the past.

Your Italian pride and Ferrari fanboyism is "BS". There's a rule how far the tires are allowed to be moved and that was broken.
No the thing is Bruni took 1 minute stop and go for that.
And the #17 Porsche took only 15 seconds when the driver missed the breaking point and instead of rejoining the track where it was meant to be done, he deliberately cut out in a tight spot where marshall were standing.
I really don't see how the bouing tyre thing is more dangerous that what the Porsche driver did.

That's the thing.

The bouncing tire is much more dangerous, because everyone saw the Porsche coming.
Also, the rulebook states how harsh these penalties are, I might have to take a look into it again, but I'm certain the 1 minute penalty is the smallest possible.

Racing is a team effort. Bruni's team caused a rules infraction with the loose tire. The team was penalized by being forced to make a stop & hold on pitlane.

That's your opinion. What if a marshall wasn't quick enough to move away?
They were forced to move away to let the car pass but eventually someone can strumble.

So, explain me why in 2007 Mclaren drivers weren't penlized they mantained the points on the driver standings McLaren instead was banned from constructor's.
.

The 17 Porsche team was penalized for that drive through the marshall post as well.

If you're going to say something is unfair, at least make sure you know what you're talking about.

Only 15 seconds the car invaded a marshall zone. And you still need to reply about the McLaren drivers thing in 2007.

Your comment is full of racism but I have NO italian pride it just happens that I'm italian and I support Ferrari but that's about it. You have no idea how many things I hate of Italy and italians.
What are you talking about? There wasn't even a FIA WEC in 2007.
It's written above what I'm talking about I'm not going to copy/paste for lazy people.

Could we please stop arguing about pointless things? We just had the mother of all races today! Record breaking distance and pace with insane on track battles and an awesome finish. I'm ready for Le Mans! :D

We beat the legendary Porsche 917's race at Spa back in 1971!

Normal post race discussion, it happens when the race was intense and stewards decide something that change the result of a race. But you have a point there. It has been a good race.
Saturday evening here. Life is short I go celebrate anyway! Bye!

So then there is merit to what he said, you yourself just said so. Don't stoop to such a low cause someone challenged you in open on what can only be said as your biased view against founded and justly carried out rules. You in fact have many times gone to bat for Ferrari, like many die hard Italians that also happen to be fans of the company like you...and yet you get to claim it's racist when someone points out the clear distinction/observation...give me a break.

Someone at Haymarket is going to get fired on Monday.
