I wonder how many cars will run out or how many cars will take a splash of gas to try to make it.

Being a Kyle Busch fan, I wasn't even calling him to win today, but he somehow did it. I honestly think the main component of this whole stretch is Adam Stevens. No doubt he's comparable to Knaus with Jimmie.

I just like reading the Facebook comments, especially now. A lot of the anti-Kyle Busch fans are running out of insults!

I don't think anyone expected Kyle to be this dominant upon his return. Lots of people thought he wouldn't make the chase, which he technically still hasn't, but as of today, he'd be tied for the top seed in the chase.

Harvick could have won this race had he not picked the outside line for the restart.

Well that was interesting... Better than my first in 2013 for sure.

You guys want to know what good multi-class traffic will do for you? Getting back to your car (well, truck) in less than 10 minutes to beat the rain.

I didn't think the race was that bad, just getting tired of the Kyle Busch show. (The reason I rarely watch XFinity races any more unless I attend)

Although since his return I wonder if JGR has used Kyle for testing engine tunes/setups since he was a long shot to make the chase anyway.

Here's the rain that barely missed the track. Taken from my house and on the highway home.

Do you guys have drainage systems or were they over flowing?
We do but they are either overflowing or malfunctioning. Probably the former as it was almost covering the highway on the way. (Not in the shot I posted)

So, my family is taking a vacation to eastern PA next weekend. Just found out today that Pocono is only two exits from the campground we'll be staying at, which means traffic is going to be an absolute blast. Tried begging my parents to go, but to no avail. Oh well, I'm not a big fan of Pocono anyhow. Still gonna see if we can't head over to the track during the week to check it out. Might be kinda cool. Hoping that Kyle can seal the deal and get into the Chase whilst I'm only 5 miles or so from the track! :p

The fact that Kyle Busch has as many wins as Jimmie Johnson (and will likely pass him) in less than half the races Jimmie's run makes me .

I'm no Busch fan by any means, but he's definitely matured and I would like him to win the championship simply to shut everyone's mouths about him.

I have this strange feeling that between now and Richmond, Kyle will win ALL the Cup races AND solidify his place in the Chase. Sorry if I sound like a villain, but my gut's telling me that it just might happen.

P.S. It's times like these where I'm getting sick and tired of being right all the time.

Meh. No matter how boring the racing is, it's practically impossible for anyone to do that in NA$CAR. Too many competitive cars in the field an' all that...

Some news stories for today....

Both kind of run into each other. The heat is being blamed for yesterday's race, but the drivers didn't like the aero changes.

Can't say I'm surprised with that. The pictures posted by Landon Cassill though, holy crap. Seriously NASCAR, can you come up with something that isn't pathetic or unnecessarily detrimental to the Drivers?

Oh, and to no surprise at all, Danica Patrick and SHR are close to a new contract deal.

For 🤬 sake, seriously? Who wants to sponsor her now?

Sponsor hasn't even been hinted at yet.

First fix for cooling down the inside of the cars is to remove that splitter. It's preventing air from getting under the car, and without that airflow, the drivers stay hotter.

If NASCAR uses the Indy package for Michigan with no changes, insomniacs who watch the race will be cured for life. And what sponsor would sign on with a driver who has proven herself to be mediocre at best? I guess that proves the old saying, "Money talks, 🤬 walks."

There's a slight possibility of it working better at Michigan due to it being a faster track, but the entire reason for having made the changes is moronic.

What they really should do though...
Remove the splitter.
Remove the mandatory spoiler angles.
Raise the cars up off the track.
Eliminate the coil-binding setups.
Give the drivers proper air conditioning.

It's not that hard to see Danica signing with new sponsors, be it extremely idiotic. She gets way more publicity, simply because she's a female racing driver, if you can even call her that. Her car shows up multiple times during a weekend, so having a sponsor on the hood would most likely rake in profits for whoever's on it. Even when she crashes, the sponskrs are still appearing on the TV screen, which, you guessed it, makes more money for the sponsor, which gets more money for the team.

Hell, she's a marketing bombshell. The only way you wouldn't make money off of having your name o her car is if the logo was covered up by sheetmetal from her last crash.

Regardless of sponsor payment, I still think she shouldn't be in NASCAR at all. I bet most of Harvick's winning from the championship went to repairing her wrecked cars.

I find it funny that she tries act tough, though. I remember back in 2012 at Kansas when she tried to spin Travis Kvapl out and ended up wrecking her own car. How on earth does her team stay behind her?
