A truck race happened. Kyle Busch got damaged with 15 laps left so that took him out of the win. The eventual winner wasn't an improvement over Kyle not winning...

But before that, Kyle did a very un-Kyle Busch thing: Slowed down enough to let Eric Jones lead a lap (Bonus point). I can't ever imagine Kyle doing that for ANYONE before so that was quite the shock.

500 NASCAR Truck races. Can you believe it? And can you believe this formula has lasted this long since the first Truck Series race back in 1995 at Phoenix? 21 years of NASCAR Trucks. As for today, congratulations to Mr. Austin Dillon and the #33 Rheem Chevrolet on winning at New Hampshire today.

According to Twitter, there is a rumor that the Truck series' dirt race event COULD go from Eldora to the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. What I think would be cool is if maybe you have the Trucks at Eldora AND at Charlotte. Or maybe Eldora and Knoxville. BOTH tracks are big deals in dirt track racing. Would you prefer seeing the Trucks race the dirt track at Charlotte?

If there was a Charlotte dirt race that would simply replace the May race, which means no real effect on Bruton

It's been a long ride for sure. Now I only wish all of those 500 races were viewable somehow, because the truck series has quickly become my favorite of the top 3 divisions of NASCAR. Just a shame the classic races are so... inaccessible.

Also, I'd rather see the series reduce the number of cookie cutters on the schedule and get back to racing on some (mostly short) tracks from those earlier days. Sadly some of the short tracks are already goners... but Mesa Marin Raceway still exists, right?

Brian Scott displaying his exquisite spatial awareness abilities.

Edit: Brad K replying to a guy saying that him and Logano should step out of the Xfinity Series and let Blaney race more regularly.

I'll reverse the question then. How about Keselowski and Logano run full time in Xfinity and let Blaney run full time in Cup?

Looks like there is another reason to blame the sponsors.

Racing is sponsor driven...

Sponsors don't want to take a risk on unproven talent, unproven talent can't get track time without sponsors.

Well we have found our MWR replacement. Wonder if MWR's cars will go to them, they already got the training from them so why not the cars as well.

After the year they had with RCR equipment, why would they switch to Toyota? They must think that they are getting 100% JGR equipment (MWR didn't).

RCR is going nowhere fast. Aside from Ryan Newman, every sIngle RCR driver next year is only there because their daddy bought their seat, or because their Pop Pop owns the team. Toyota is performing. MWR has just been belly-up since 2013. This is a great decision to run for a championship next year.

Unless they are getting direct support from JGR, they were doing just fine in RCR-supported equipment. Newman and Menard both made the Chase on points. Dillon actually came a lot closer to the top 16 than I would have ever expected. Other than the last six weeks when Bowyer went on a nice streak of top 10s, MWR did nothing this year. I would rather be in equipment on par with RCR than MWR.
