I hate how all of the talk has been about blocking. Harvick had a failing engine and even said he could barely keep caution speed. He should have pulled off, but no, he ended up causing a crash involving his boss.

Was people more mad about Logano winning or seeing the replay of Havrick's stunt?
Logano winning because half the place were a bunch of Dale Jr. fans, they are clueless about the Harvick part.

I don't like Logano (just look at last races comments that I made) but I am not angered at him winning this race, he did nothing wrong to my knowledge.

Here is the finish from my seat if you want to see the initial reaction and bottle chucking. People didn't get furious until we exited the stands.
The face on the chubby guy in blue at 1:28 is brilliant, he is confused, angry and upset all at the exact same second. You would see the tears in his eyes if he didn't have sunglasses on.

I saw several interesting people during the visit . While walking to the track there was a man with a fishing pole and a dollar bill attached to a hook with a drunk person chasing after the bill. When leaving and entering, I encountered a person in a full pepperoni pizza outfit. For a visual it looked like this:

Were any of these people from the part that Austin Dillon calls "the danger zone"?
I was about to say that that kind of sounds like something that people would do in [I think] Chicken Bone Alley....

Those were the people in the $55 stands on the ground level  (chicken bone alley), I was in a tower stand (where some appeared to get up here too). They were in large numbers .

No I meant to reply to you.

I wasn't sure which race it was though. I just know that particular finish was the last one I remembered that ended under green and not with a caution.

All the hate for Joey is sorely misplaced. He drove a good, clean race and ended up leading. Harvick is the one who denied Jr. a shot at the win .

If you've ever been to a NASCAR race, you'll have a better respect for the TV coverage. It's kind of difficult to even understand what's happening at times and it all happens really fast. On TV where we can get close up shots, different angles, slo mo etc, it's easy to make a determination about what actually happened. Jr fans are ruthless. While I'm not a Jr fan, he is a good guy and you can tell. His fans however are animals. They were definitely pissed that Jr lost and then Logano is the only one to blame. They are Neanderthals.

On the incident, Harvick did that on purpose and deserves punishment but I doubt NASCAR will do anything about it. After the first "attempt" they should have made him go to the garage. I blame NASCAR just as much as Harvick. One thing is for sure if this continues and NASCAR does not step in, whoever makes it to Homestead can win the Championship by wrecking the other 3 cars out of the field. This will guarantee a Championship and since NASCAR is allowing it so far, it should be the main strategy to wreck your competition.

Well said.

The problem with NASCAR is that they like things to brew, as that brings in the money for them. The new championship really did invigorate the fan base both in good and bad ways by bringing new fans and certainly dropping long-time old ones (Me, my family, and about 40+ others who would always watch the race together/go to them for the past 19 years).

There is no initiative by NASCAR to actually investigate anything to see what caused it/what the resolution could be. I saw the crew members working on Harvick's car immediately after the race and thought "boy, if this was F1 all of those guys would have their tails handed to them by officials." NASCAR now has the excuse they don't actually know what happened to the car's engine, but all they care about is that the rear wing is still in check..

If people make a big enough stink about Harvick wrecking Bayne, Tuesday they'll announce a penalty for him about his Radiator Pan or whatever they seized from him in order to kick him out of the chase and save face

doubt it... Why? Because it's a chase implication and they want all the drama they can get into a three hour TV extravaganza...

Especially since the queen of drama herself made it... (Harvick that is)

Whoa whoa whoa, I wouldn't call myself a Neanderthal, I thought I posed great reason for people to despise Harvick and no reason to hate Logano.

Another point I (also a Jr. fan) look at it is that Jr. costed himself a win by locking the brakes on the final stop. That wound up putting him in the position that kept him from being the control car in the restart due to having to drive back through the field. In the end, controlling the restart is what ultimately got Joey the win. Also, as stated often, it isn't Joey's fault that Harvick decided to pull a JWT out of nowhere which brought out the caution that sealed Joey's win.
