How is what I was saying me being "Sensitive"? Considering I've never seen you interact with him until today (And judging by his response, he clearly doesn't interact with you either), I couldn't exactly tell you were joking and neither could he obviously. I just thought I saw what looked like an instigating post towards someone who did nothing and wanted to diffuse it. Your response to me afterwards didn't help.

You do wonder whether this could be the final nail in the coffin for Kurt's NASCAR career.
As someone who has always sort of cheered for Kurt (never my favorite, but never disliked him), I think that it's time for him to really learn his lesson. He either needs a babysitter or professional help. I don't know if he will ever get another opportunity in NASCAR. I hope he can get the help he needs and go somewhere like IndyCar or Tudor where his talent can be utilized

True.

I must say Jeff Gordon was my favourite driver too when I first became aware of NASCAR, I couldn't watch the races because a) they were only on at stupid o'clock on Channel 5 in highlight form and b) they were not WRC, F1 or the Teletubies. But I would see a picture in the back of Autosport magazines once a week showing some car with flames on the side combined with its driver winning a lot that is guaranteed fandom (every little kid is a glory hunter deep down). I didn't start watching NASCAR properly until Montoya moved over but Hendrick were still my favourite team (and still are).

Neat story, I'm a neutral when it comes to NASCAR, don't really root for anyone but love the sport.

I think at this point Kurt's only hope is that a Honda IndyCar team wants to risk it, but a domestic situation may make him toxic to any major racing series.

As for the whole favorites thing, I've cheered for Newman since I started watching in 2002, but have been cheering for Larson as well. I've never disliked Gordon and always respected him as he seems like the best all-around driver in recent NASCAR history.

A tire failure caused a wreck in the truck series. The real sad story about that is that the trucks hanging out behind the pack got caught up int it. Really inexcusable driving there from those guys cause they should have been able to avoid that.

The judge's decision in the Driscoll-Busch court case.

I'm not the biggest Kurt Busch fan out there, and even I have to call BS on this one. The woman has no claim to anything, yet Busch has to take the fall because nowadays, if anyone (especially women) even so much as thinks that any guy (especially famous ones) MAY be an abuser, he loses everything without even so much as a decent listen of his story because everyone (including NASCAR in a rare moment) has to be "Image Conscious". Anyway, with all the crazy 🤬 Kurt has done, I can't believe a circus trial involving a liar and a con-woman finally killed his career.
RIP Kurt's Career

...End Rant

Exactly my thoughts, if AJ for a time could have limited refuge while suspended from NASCAR and drive in Indy car then surely so could Kurt. Most likely with Andretti.

Kurt is in good hands. I recorded this Thursday February 19th from our local news here in houston. He has hired one of the best attorneys in the country.

Yes, but these are wholly different situations. One was an issue with a violation of sanctioning body rules, the other is a legal matter regarding potential physical abuse.

Bottom line, Busch wasn't happy to see her and snapped, what he did was wrong, but I don't think this suspension fits the crime. This was domestic abuse, but from what it sounds like, he wasn't going out of his way to cause her great bodily harm. I believe the described action in question is one of the reasons that this whole case has been so back and forth. It'd be entirely different if she had been punched or kicked, since the bruises would be much more apparent considering some have claimed she showed no marks from this. If only I were a fly on the wall...

And Driscoll's comments on the court ruling bugged me as well. I respect that domestic abuse is a huge problem that needs to be dealt with, but from what has been said, she's had it comparatively easy to many women who suffer much, much worst. She didn't live with him, she didn't rely on him as an income, he was always out and around the country so it's not like she was being held hostage. Sure this happened and it's terrible, but she really over-victimized herself in her response to the ruling. That doesn't disqualify her as being a voice to represent those women who don't have one, but it doesn't help me to take her seriously.

If Ray Rice can be reinstated by the NFL after what he did to his now wife, then Kurt's career shouldn't be completely ruined.

Although at this point, I wouldn't expect to see him back anytime soon, or even back in the Cup series.

Edit: Just watched the replay of the race on FS1. Were the drivers told it was the last lap coming off of turn 4? Seems like no one wanted to try to win that race.

It is a shame that sexism and double-standards have taken over our society. Because now, even the slightest negative accusation by a woman against a man, people will rule in favor of the woman regardless of circumstances. They'll always be suspicious of the claims or statements made by the man.

I myself am not sexist against women, but these double-standards should be eliminated. People should be judged equally in these kinds of scenarios regardless of gender, not being favored because of what's between their legs.
