What's the 0-10 slider for? At first I thought it was a tachometer, but there is a RPM meter already on there.

I think it's for the pit lanes. It'd be hard to gauge speed from 6 glowing orbs, so I think they made it so the drivers can still use that, which makes not adding a speedo even more stupid.

I feel that rule is abit harsh. Surely just slowing down accomplishes the same task as coming to a complete stop, doesn't it?

Hopefully they will add speedometers with the display in 2016. It has been decades overdo with no reason to not have them.

Agreed in full. Perhaps, maybe, remotely they may add them based on driver and fan input.

Amen, it's like NASCAR management doesn't even watch their own races, or any other races for that matter. Though, this may require a retooling of the ECU's/electronics that NASCAR would inevitably be too lazy for. Regardless, that is long overdue from a safety standpoint.

TBH no one would miss ill-timed, often stupid pit road speeding penalties. Also, seeing as NASCAR is good at managing other pit road shenanigans, it would be interesting with a speedometer and pit road limiter
 
I like that there's no speedometer, allows the cars to be old school while simultaneously being as safe as they are with the new technology, that's how I feel about most stuff regarding NASCAR, as old tech as possible while still remaining safe
 
They all speed on pit road just don't get caught that much because they slow them back down before the lines. It's a great strategy if done right. Kyle Busch is very good at it but gets popped from time to time. The driver will find an advantage anyway he can. A pit limiter would eliminate speeding penalties but it's funny you guys want an electric nanny on the cars. Might as well put traction control on them too and blind spot indicators and active stability management (lame GT6 joke I know). Speeding on pit road is all on the driver mostly. The system is fine the way it is. If you get caught speeding you get busted. It's not NASCAR's fault if someone gets busted for not following the rules. Well deserved actually.
 
Every other racing series in the world has a pit speed limiter and speeding penalties still happen. The speeding up and slowing down on pit road to cheat the system could potentially throw more danger into an area that doesn't need any more danger considering the excessive amount of people on pitroad at any given time during pitstops.
 
I had some long errands today and completely missed a few college football games. :grumpy:

Oh, and I heard there was some Xfinity race today.
