NASCAR announced the 8 drivers who made the 3rd round:
Logano, Keselowski, Ku. Busch, Ky. Busch, Gordon, Edwards, Truex and Harvick advance.

Also really quick, since that picture is of NASCAR showing "by a nose" win from Logano, why is third place Gordon shown fourth on the unofficial sheets...even NASCAR can't get their story right.
The picture is the cars coming to the restart. not when the caution was thrown. I'm trying to make a point in which NASCAR still hasn't released a picture of Logano being ahead of Jr. when the Caution lights came on. (If they did, could someone please link me to said picture?)

I know this, they're using that image as the one that shows him winning, there isn't going to be any other picture. And since that is likely going to be the case, then they might want to fix the running order of the top four to reflect their altered reality.

I think that Logano was ahead for the frame of the field actually racing when the yellow came out. I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is NASCAR trying to base results off of the moving shots and then basing the finish off of a picture at the restart zone. That's absolute crap.

One of the most anticlimactic finishes I've seen in awhile. It all built up to that garbagé ending.

Calling NASCAR a circus...that's going to be a fine.

And this is why I'm liking Denny Hamlin More. Pretty much calling NASCAR BS like it is. Kinda miss Stewart doing it so I guess someone else has to.

"What we see on TV side and cameras isn't at all what happens in the cars on track"

Dale Jarrett please... stop trying to legitimize a BS move...

Sadly, that's what NASCAR is paying everyone to do.

Mike Helton and Brian France are doing their best to run NASCAR into the ground. They've made so many stupid decisions this year alone it isn't funny, and they managed to screw up what was an abysmal restart for the race. What a joke. I may just say screw it and not watch a single cup race next year. Even the truck series is usually better run than this, and the truck series usually has JWT to deal with....

Well this is gonna be fun to keep track of during the week. :dopey:

I would be bummed out about Denny, but I'm too busy laughing!

I was there, people are beyond pissed. I am ashamed to have been wearing a Harvick cap to the race and being a Harvick fan after that pathetic move he made to get into the chase.

Thanks NASCAR for these pure stupid gimmicks like the chase that ruin races.

31, 11, 88, 20 are all out. Not sure why NASCAR is holding off results unless they're actually planning on doing something about Harvick, but since both Hamlin and Kenseth brought it up on TV interviews, they're probably investigating.
I know alot of people will have a problem with this, and normally I wouldn't say this, but NASCAR owes the 88 an emergency spot as compensation for all this unncesssary garbage. Or better yet, give him Harvick's spot since he had a role in causing this mess,

Personally, I'd rather see whoever was the first man out move up instead of see Jr. leapfrog everyone else. Yes, one can argue that he in particular could have won the race and got robbed, but he shouldn't be jumping over people who have more points than he does IMO. Not that it matters anyway because NASCAR screwed the pooch in multiple ways with that finish, and they probably would biff the compensation as well.

Jr said he wouldn't want to have made it in the chase because of that. Newman was first one out, so he'd be the beneficiary.

I was skeptical about this new format when it began. But after last year, with all it's fantastic racing, I fell for it. The racing is more intense and entertaining to watch. I was on the edge of my seat for the entirety of today's race. Ultimately in my opinion, it's not the chase that ruins races, it rule changes mid season. With only 5 races left in the season, they should have waited till next year to tamper with the Green White Checkered rule. Not just before a cutoff race.

He almost did a good job of making it seem like he spun the wheels.

Except his engine was dead on power and if the wheels were spinning, he wouldn't be sawing at the wheel unless he actually wanted to crash the car.

Was people more mad about Logano winning or seeing the replay of Havrick's stunt?
