I'm sure he'll be thinking that he doesn't want to lose any more time to Lewis.

and the pace difference is huge, he'll have lewis easily there I reckon.

So give Vettel the win, because trying to beat your team mate is more important? I don't agree. He should have held him off and tried to save time for Lewis. Two aspects to this racing thing, driver and the team.

The good thing about Vettel passing two Mercs is that Christian Horner is going to have to stop whining like a Renault drivetrain after this race.

Wrong, he'll just say "And see Ferrari have learned the master secrets of tires and engines...we want out because of Pirelli and Engine rules."

Merc have thrown this away. They now have to hope for the rain after Vettel's next stop but before the Merc third to nullify their strategy blunder

Ouch, Horner's going to be busy whinging about other things.... :D

Ignore me... I thought that spin was Bull-on-Bull, stupid Ten :D

Whoa!

I think Hammy and Rosberg will be paying Vettel back at the end of the race. Vettel still needs to get onto the prime tires while Mercedes has options.

Man both Redbulls are out of the points with no real ability to get back in them, this has to be a first since 2008.

Man I'm stunned by Vettel he's just doing an awesome job so far. Mercedes on the other hand, is really disapointing me. They seemed like they had taken this GP like they had won it already, big big mistake.

I'm glad my Hondas are nowhere near this. Hamilton will be spewing from now through to debrief.

Crazy to think we are only 5 laps past half way.

Rosberg on Raikkonen...

Hamilton has won, Vettel still has Hards to use, and they didn't have much pace on them in practice.

Vettel will want to pit for them as late as possible, but Hamilton can just pit at the same time for another pair of Options and take off.

Could anyone provide a brief summary as to what's happened so far? The f1 website said the race would start at 5pm Japan time, so I turned on the tv a few minutes ago and found that the race was almost at the halfway point.

Win or lose I think it's safe to say for a little bit this could be Lewis's version of Vettel's 2012 season and not a repeat of 2014.

C'mon Force India!

Do some Shake n' Bake!

Mercedes telling Lewis he's on for P1, Nico that he's on for P2... but that they'll both need to pass Vettel on track when the Ferrari is running ze harder tyre.

Early safety care came out due to Ericsson, several cars took an early pit to try and create a true two stopper and Vettel stayed out while the Mercs came in. The Mercs now have to play catch up on the chance that since they'll be using the hard (vettel), Lewis can end on the better tire and hopefully win.

Grosjean!

Stewards are going to be looking at that
