In theory it makes sense but what we have seen as it does the exact opposite.

With DRS you need the Speed to be as high as possible to make maximum effect with it.

What we do find is the best overtaking spot ends up at turn 10.

You're right in theory (downforce is squared by speed) but practically the only overtaking we see in DRS zones (not including on-the-brakes attacks) are those as the cars accelerate from slower turns, especially since fixed-ratios were introduced. At higher revs the cars lose torque and can also begin to hit the race-set rev-limiter.

I wouldn't read too much into what Omnicorse says (unless they talk about Ferrari), they say Honda has used some tokens while, according to Autosport, they won't use any http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/118799

Also, new graphite-grey livery for McLaren http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/118793

^This and the reason that Honda wont use any tokens is because they hardly have any...unless a new oil filter cover is going to help them climb up the ladder.

It inspired me somewhat...

not to be a buzz killington but why is he still in Williams garb...?

Also on the subject of the Mad Max livery it's interesting how Lotus seem to get entertainment to sponsor their cars.

Red Bull have had a few over the years too, I think,

He just looks nutty... I was going to change it to a gold tint, but it is what it is.

So did Toyota, but Lotus seem like the newest kids to give entertainment promos to. They have this, Rush, then Daft Punk so yeah. I guess moral is, you send funny tweets Hollywood entertainment will sponsor you.

Redbulls new Front Wing and Nose is very radical, and apperently took them quite a few attempts to pass the crash tests.

Also Ferrari also have Smaller sidepod intakes so they look to be sacrificing a bit of cooling for more Aero efficiency.

So the guys on NBCSN were saying Ricciardo is going to have to use his 4th pu this weekend. Can they use previous ones to get them to work again or is his year already pretty much done? Maybe I miss heard them.

from what I know, sometimes they can use previous ones if they're not totally damaged.

Edit: It's probably been mentioned before, but the F1 site this year is awful.

Can't remember if it was you or someone else, but its pretty much been established that the site is terrible

It probably was me. All I wanted to do was see practice results. Ended up with my browser crashing.

Surprised to see a McLaren in the top 10, although it is only practice and the times mean nothing today.

Looks like Mclaren have find some pace, which is nice. Would love to see them coming back in the middle of the pack at least.
