Highlights are especially useful for those who haven't yet seen the race, and wish to find out the result by actually watching it; rather than just reading it! So can you guess how the announcer on the Beeb introduced the highlights?

"Nico Rosberg took the top spot at todays Spanish GP. Now see how the race played out"...

Someone's going to be taking a long walk to the job centre tomorrow!

Used to happen when ITV had it in the UK. They famously missed the end of the actual race once.

Good win for Rosberg, arguably Ferrari could have taken more of a fight to him but credit where it's due.

Good work from Hamilton to take second, that wasn't a foregone conclusion after the first few laps and a wheel-spun start.
Which race was that?

Edit: watching the race now while having dinner (nothing else was on) Lewis saying he can't pass a slower car on the track, the absolute state of F1 is a bit laughable.

edit: damn double post, I'm an idiot.

Imola 2005, as Alonso (?) and Schumacher began the last three laps neck-and-neck ITV went to a break, they returned seconds before the chequered flag dropped. I recall they were reprimanded by F1 (or the rights-awarding body) for being in breach of the rules regarding TV advertising for F1 buyers.

Wow. Should be a rule that there are to be no adverts during live broadcasts. (Indycar i'm looking at you.)

Dutch broadcasters aren't allowed to interrupt sports games. But we no longer have it on the open channel, and the last Dutch broadcaster who aired F1 was inconveniently based in Luxembourg so we still had to deal with a ridiculous amount of commercials.

Races aren't even live here, they are in cable company nobody has.

Even though it's only a replay, they show comercials likes it's a live transmission.

Main reason I just lost all interest in Formula 1.

It is highlighted at this circuit, because it is famously awful for racing. You cannot stay close to another car through turn 13, the chicane and the final corner if the cars have any aerodynamics at all.

It truly is an awful race circuit, and time F1 moved away from it.

I think we should stay out of spain for a while  , maybe bring back Jerez.

Apparently a member of the Lotus pit crew got slightly injured by the Grosjean incident, surprisingly its not the front jackman, despite his acrobatics.

Supposedly Nigel Mansell did it at the '91 Canadian GP. Somehow, he stalled while moving too slowly.

Only Nigel Mansell. Only.

Martin Brundle noted with some of the radio comments that Mr Grumpy was originally with Lewis, but then moved to Vettel's "Red 5".

I tweeted to Martin saying that historically, red 5 was always grumpy...
