You know times have indeed changed when it's an Audi spending more time in the garage then the rivals.

I know it's too early to say it, but that Toyota bro. *insert sweating guy meme*

Are the 2nd and 3rd place Porsche and Toyota behind the same safety car as the leader or a different one

Edit: RLM just announced that 2nd and 3rd are behind the 2nd safety car so Toyota keeps it's lead

Porsche Nr1 has his entire rear removed, looks like they're working on the gearbox.

Where have they innovated?

They have merely "tried" to innovate by creating something that does not work. You could compare it with the Williams FW26.

Innovate(v.) - make changes in something established especially by introducing new methods.

Nowhere does it say it must be successful. Audi tried something new. It hasn't worked as well as they might have hoped. The point of the class is to try new technologies and race them at the highest level. Audi has innovated and shaped this class a hell of a lot more than Porsche or Toyota.

They introduced diesel, they introduced hybrid technology, they introduced 4WD. They're trying to introduce a new aerodynamic philosophy rather than just stick with a cookie cutter car like the Toyota and Porsche.

There are links to the Porsche and Ford onboards on page 1. Maybe that with Radio Le Mans? (I'm using the paid wec stream)

Where did you hear that out of curiosity?
Porsche relaying to Eurosport.

They say they're not confident they can get the car back out. This could really shake up the front of the field.

Gotta get some Formula Drift in as well. ;)

You're literally expecting the teams to have sizes on had .1mm difference in various sizes... Do you not realize how unrealistic that is? Especially in a race where pre-race BoP changes are quite unheard of, and this was a rare occasion this year especially due to the fact they're trying to balance NA vs Turbo.

Because you put four cars in a position that they have to find time and a place that will Machine their parts very last minute, the ACO screwed up, they knew this hence that last minute change. But then the issue becomes now it's on the teams to find the ability to make the parts they were never expecting to need (for the reason above). Least the ACO could do is provide ease of access to the service, for it was the ACO in the first place that made this massive error to read the data when the first BoP was applied.

Seems all I here them call for are full mm sizes from 1-3, even if you had 1-5 in 1/2 mm sizes that is only ten parts per car. Doesn't seem unrealistically expensive for a multi-million dollar international race team. Correct me if I am wrong, please, but I don't think you would need dozens or hundreds of parts to be prepared for this.
