what a performance by truex. You can bet nascar will be tearing that car to pieces to make sure they didn't cheat lol

very suspicious though that the Kyle busch flat tire didn't cause a caution. Nascar usually throws the caution right away for an impact that hard on the wall

What a fantastic day for motorsports! An exciting Nurburgring 24 hours, a rainy Monaco GP, a rookie winning the Indy 500 and doing so while out of fuel, and absolute domination in the Coke 600 by Martin Truex!

Lets be real, if Kyle Busch had done this everyone would be complaining that the race was boring (Which objectively, it was)

it was boring as hell. but if someone was to dominate a race, i would rather it be someone who is considered somewhat of an underdog

Truex should absolutely not be considered an underdog, he's in pretty much a 5th Gibbs car, that would be like considering Matt Kenseth an underdog in 2014, even though he hadn't won he still was very good, he just couldn't get it done

Martin just lost it during Sherry's hug. You can tell how much that win meant to her.

I didn't find the race boring at all. The timing of the final caution left some intrigue and doubt, as it required a longer than normal green-flag run to finish the race. The 4 and 48 were much closer to challenging the 78 in the final two runs than anyone had been all race long. The last ten laps were especially tense, as you just knew that anyone could blow a tire or run out of gas at any moment. I can't imagine how much more suspense you could possibly have in a race where a driver got passed for one single lap (on a restart, no less) that didn't occur during a cycle of green flag pit stops.

Awesome job by Truex tonight. As mentioned, it wasn't the most exciting race, and would have well sucked if it was one of the normal drivers winning. But when a guy rarely gets to victory lane, whether he's simply an underdog or runs well but just doesn't seem to have any luck, it's much more satisfying to watch.

So happy to see him finally get his win. Truex is one of the most genuine people in NASCAR. He isnt the corporate puppet like so many are. He lost his ride by being associated with vermin of NASCAR (Waltrip) But has continued his career with a single car team based out of Denver. And yes they have a JGR alliance, but they prove week in and week out what hard work can do.

Very impressive run by Truex, glad he was able to finally close the deal. I wouldn't consider him or FRR underdogs though.

Let's talk about June 2016. Here is the upcoming schedule. Feel free to follow this list in case you plan on catching any races or perhaps even go to any of these races:

--- June 2016: NASCAR Trucks ---
* June 10: Texas Motor Speedway
* June 18: Iowa
* June 25: Gateway

--- June 2016: NASCAR XFINITY ---
* June 4: Pocono
* June 11: Michigan
* June 19: Iowa

--- June 2016: NASCAR Cup ---
* June 5: Pocono
* June 12: Michigan
* June 26: Sonoma

So based on this schedule... we got a little of everything coming up. More importantly- ROAD RACING... at least for Cup. The Trucks will be racing on three fine ovals. I surely love Iowa Speedway. Iowa is a short track that thinks it's an intermediate. It surely rides like one. The Trucks tackle Texas. The Tricky Triangle (Pocono) will get some rubber laid down by XFINITY and Cup this month. Another one of my personal favorite tracks, Michigan, will get some NASCAR loving from XFINITY and Cup. NASCAR Cup will have something this coming month that Trucks and XFINITY won't get to do- road racing. Sonoma Raceway is always a competitive challenge and a great course to flex your road racing muscle. We'll see what happens when you throw some extra curves at these oval racing machines. And let's face it- I personally think these cars sound great hammering through the gears while going left and right. So that will be fun to watch for when NASCAR takes on Sonoma Raceway (which I've always known as Sears Point).

A lot of racing nationwide for NASCAR this coming month. So go enjoy some NASCAR racing for June 2016.

As someone whose favorite color is blue, that Kalahari Chevrolet does kind of have that Spirit of Daytona feel to its paintscheme. I do think the Spirit of Daytona car is the best-looking Daytona Prototype of the regular teams, but that's another story. Cool car! Me gusta.

How could they **** it up like that, the black box around the 22 is entirely pointless and kills the whole car.

Better view of it, makes me hate it even more. Why have the Pennzoil so big that it stretches off the Black?
