For those who missed it...

Newman used to be fast on Fridays but he's been mediocre for a long time, I don't think he's really one to be throwing insults around when his last win came while driving for the guy who ran into him.

Trevor Bayne proved that a Daytona 500 doesnt mean you are good.

But that was Tony's fault for sure, but Newman has been knocking people out left and right tonight, and the super-divebomb just added to the tally.
Almost all Newman's wins and poles were with Penske, earlier in the run but still.

He has been an aggressor tonight, but I think Tony's just hit that final "I DON'T GIVE A SINGLE 🤬!" point.

Two things now: What's with the Chicagoland commercials using the four 6-point stars? Is it symbolic of something Chicago related or what (other than CM Punk), and more related is how many seat changes are gonna happen between now and the end of the season?

Chicago's flag is 6 pointed stars

🤬:banghead:
New record number of cautions. 16.

We're about to see if Kasey Kahne gives a **** about his popular opinion

If Kahne somehow manages to win this, I'll be flabbergasted.

It's in Kahne's best interest to wreck his way through the top 5, not wishing he would, but pointing out the fact that it would benefit him to do so.

78 cost 42 the win

Hey guys, Chris Buescher made the chase...

Pretty sure Denny had that celebration planned out... :p

Kinda cool to see both Ganasi cars in the Chase. If I was driving a Gibbs car right now, I'd be feeling pretty darn good heading into the Chase.

Hopefully Tony stops going full salt and tries to finish. He had a top 10 car before he kamikazi'd. But this is my all time favorite chase grid, I think.

"He'll get his wish in 10 weeks"

"He's gonna win a championship before it's all said and done."

Tony with the bold strategy of being kind

The #78 has failed post race laser inspection.

Do they only inspect cars that are still in one peice? I wanna know how Newman's car would fair, if Truex didn't pass.

It's been a few years, but I want to say there's a provision in the rules where cars with substantial damage aren't penalized for not matching templates.

So by a process of elimination I have figured the final four drivers who will run for the championship at Homestead.
Eliminate the 34...well because its the 34
Eliminate the 1 based on a lack of consistent speed
Eliminate the 14 and 20 because NASCAR isnt AARP
Eliminate the 4 and blame the pit crew
Eliminate the 3 and 24 based on a lack of driver talent
Eliminate the 41 because he will eliminate himself
Eliminate the 2 and 22 because they arent popular with the fans
And lastly, eliminate the 11 and 19. Even though they are good, just not this year.
That leaves the 18 42 48 and 78 to settle it.

Those are my predictions. Lets see yours.
