The onboard cameras are very choppy, i hope when they use the uhd cameras next season they can get on top of it. Here it is the worst I've seen on the calendar. This season tata communications put aerials on every straight and every corner a few metres apart creating a loop, so radio signals are maintained, do this for tv please, F1 is behind the tech here.

Yeah but this is the worst place of electronic signals to be maintained on the F1 grid by some margin supposedly. So that could play a role into why there are feedback issues.
 
Fernando Alonso will win the race. If he does, Jordan should give me full GTPlanet ownership, muahahahaha jks don't kill me mods.

Exactly, I almost want to see it on all the cars. But then I imagine certain brads would just look tacky. Like the Merc logo.

The McLaren logo would look nice illuminated in either red or orange. The ferrari logo however would look like something you'd see hanging outside a Las Vegas casino.

Exactly my point, some guys would look classy like the Manor one, and others would just look as if they should have spinning rims on their machine or neon underglows. I better not give Bernie anymore ideas.
 
Watching replays of FP1 and FP2 while waiting for FP3, and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed by the way Daniil Kvyat is finding a bit of form. The nature of the Marina Bay circuit means that the power deficit of the Ferrari engine has been offset, which really means that it's the team's final chance for points, and so it's nice to see Kvyat making the most of it. He was on a lap that looked good enough to match Sainz when he was forced to bug out to avoid the stricken Grosjean.

I forgot how boring Damon Hill was after not watching Sky for a while. His interview with Button compared to the ones that C4 do is so much duller.

I like his mastery of the technical side of things, like the way he called the two-stage clutch the "two clutch thingy".

They're really overdoing the wide shots showing all the sponsors and local business as well. I hope these new owners get the idea we want to see the cars on the track, not the sponsor banners and people in the garage.

At the moment conversations in the directors office seems to go:

"Ok, let's cut to a pretty girl in the garage on her phone. Hold the shot for 10 seconds, long enough to be awkward"
"Alright, time for an aerial shot of the venue where you can't see the cars"
"Next, cut to the corner with the superimposed sponsor. Let the car fill about 10% of the picture"
 
Wonder if Vettel caused his own problem by being a bit aggressive with the curbs.
 
Will be interesting to see if RBR have something in the bad in Q3, Rosberg favorite for pole for me so far.

To be fair, you do need to have long-angle shots from time to time, since it's not always obvious where a driver is on the circuit. And at least the race director has a range of camera angles on offer for most of the corners.
