From that head on angle they showed when interviewing Power, it does look like he was being consistent with driving over to the left, and that it was Helio who made two moves.

Though the other angles say differently.
It's hard to justify blocking a teammate. It took all Helio could do to not wreck them both. It's also hard to justify running into a teammate to pass them for the lead. Montoya is super lucky to have not destroyed both cars

Do you have nothing positive to say about Montoya? Not trying to be antagonizing, but all I ever see you post is jokes about him hitting something. Even today, you had to reference him hitting something (even though technically, it was a rub)

Even from the head on angle, it's obvious he made a move to the left, momentarily stopped moving to the left, and then resumed moving to the left. That made it two separate moves.

Yeah, I'm not denying that. Just saying that from that one angle, you could at least attempt an argument against it. Not the best one to show the guy who did it.

I'll say something good about him when he does something good. Did he win? Yes. Good job. Did he run into his teammate? Yes. Montoya has been running into people for quite a while and that can't be argued

So that justifies all the overused jokes you have to use for him every time you see him? That's my point. I'm not saying he hasn't hit people (Believe me, I'm well aware that he's aggressive), I'm questioning the need for you in particular to rehash all this every time you see him. To an extent, I'm basically wondering if you just hate the guy.

No I don't hate him. He's not my favorite driver by a long shot, but I've never met him so I really can't pass judgement on him as an individual. I respect his drive, but he drives like he's trying to win the Columbian demolition derby

Good race. Hated to see Sato out so early, but at least my other driver won.

Was a rather large contingent of Colombians in the tier below us, with the flags and such. Went ballistic when JPM won, and I can't blame them.

Good racing, had a good time.

Good luck to all drivers and teams this weekend with the back-to-back races at Toronto.

Live coverage of Race 2 of the Honda Indy Toronto starts tomorrow at 3:00 PM EDT on NBCSN!

Smart call for the red flag. Drivers were reporting that they couldn't see the car ahead of them at pace car speed.

Edit: Pace car loses it in turn 3.. then Power loses it coming to what would have been the green flag.

I love this series but I hate the way they make rules up on the fly or changing rules as it suits them. Then again, F1 does it too so it is what it is.

I'm ok with them repairing Power's and Montoya's issues.. but letting Power's crew adjust the downforce on the car shouldn't have been allowed at all.

The race never officially started... so who is right and who is wrong? I'm confused, race control is confused... everyone's confused!

Derrick Walker claiming they've allowed all teams to work on their cars. That didn't appear to be the case though, since all but 2 teams were told they couldn't touch the car.

AJ Foyt and Michael Andretti were pretty annoyed by that situation. Almost sounded like Michael would be inclined to give his teams the order to take out Power once the race starts.

I dont understand why Montoya was moved back since he didnt stop, spin, crash and the repairs were legal.

Because they worked on the car, which was the reason Indycar officials gave. Power was moved to the back as well.
