They won't support it, either. When the Australian Grand Prix contract was up for renewal, Adelaide was touted as a potential alternate venue. The city said no - they're only interested in V8 Supercars.

No, Melbourne came to the table with an offer Adelaide refused to match, because they honestly couldn't justify it, that and I doubt that they actually could have,

Start early March and end in November. With 4 fly away races, return to surfers paradise in October ;),
May I write a letter of reccomendation to put you and @catamount39 on their schedule design team?.
I would do these for internationals:
-Toronto
-Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in Mexico
-Phillip Island in Australia (If the majority of the teams could afford it)
- Interlagos in Brazil

A fifth race in Europe could happen if the others were successful and the teams could afford it. I would probably race in either England because of the drivers or Italy because of Dallara. For venues use Silverstone/Donington Park or Monza/Mugello.

Phillip island needs a major upgrade on its pit facilities if its going to do car racing pit stops the pit lane seems to be designed for only motorcycle racing, while its a fantastic circuit it still borderline on safety for what events it has,

Eastern Creek would probably be the most logical option for a permanent circuit, our circuits are getting seriously outdated in regards to safety,

I'd like to see a return to the Motegi oval or even the road course,

Mexico City won't happen, neither will Interlagos due to F1. Same goes for Silverstone and Monza.

Besides, Donington and Mugello would be better suited for Indycar.

Explain Champ Car at Montreal then...
F1 doesn't own the tracks like ISC and NASCAR, this is an old excuse by the old IRL/CART F1 haters with no evidence proving that F1 blocks Indycar races, please don't fall for it. By the way hasn't Indycar considered COTA for a race and even done testing there? The only reason that race hasn't happened is because of the TMS owner throwing a fit.

That was 20 years ago...

I'm going out on a limb here, feel free to yell at me  :

St. Petersburg
Long Beach
Portland International
Indianapolis Grand Prix
Indianapolis 500
Milwaukee
Iowa
Donington
Road America
Toronto
Mexico
Brazil
Phoenix
Watkins Glen
Mid-Ohio
Pocono
Richmond
Sonoma
Detroit

Don't care how mad it is. :p Also there isn't a particular order to the list.

Then surely you can explain why Indycar raced in Sao Paolo on a street circuit instead of Interlagos...
The promoters:
Interlagos Formula One promotion was at the time made by Globo (most important tv network in brazil) group company. Indycar promotion was made by a Band (another tv network, major only in Sao Paulo). TV rivals would most likely not want to be at the same place. Also, Indycar at the time was in dire need for good crowds so they used the street circuit.

So, you're saying that Indycar couldn't race at Interlagos, because of F1 dealings with the track...

What a surprise....

Not FIA exclusivity, the promoters/sponsors did not want to be at the same venue. The FIA has nothing to do with this, it's the promoters fault. Indycar has nothing to do with it either. So why is everything the FIA's fault then?

FIA exclusivity was never mentioned. That's something you've been pushing. Promoters are indirectly part of the series. Take them away and there's nothing stopping racing series from competing on the track.

Just like Eddie Gossage blocking Indycar from holding a race at COTA.

Then why blame F1 or only the F1 promoters and not the Indycar ones (bar COTA as you mentioned)?

I think it is both series promoters faults. Not one or the other. Evidence being the race in Brazil.

I for one would love to see Indycar on famous tracks like Spa, Monza, Suzuka, etc. Same goes for F1 on tracks like Barber, Toronto, Long Beach again, etc.

Long Beach for F1 was considered by the city council last year... they determined the Indycar contract was a better deal for them.

It probably is, more people are familiar with Indycar in the states which means higher attendance (they get 200,000 there I think) and it doesn't cost as much. Well, I'll stop the argument before a moderator slaps me on the wrist for derailing a thread (sorry).

It's great to see the calendar possibly going to mid-September!

Just drop the Indy road course race! Nobody cares!

Just drop the Indy road course race! Nobody cares!

Except for the actual teams that do the traveling and based on what @GTPorsche just said, it makes more practical and economical sense to just have a race in the same place with very minimal turn around time rather then have one that's far away from it. That and hype building for the Indy 500.

May has always been the month for Indianapolis. They dropped the first 2 weeks a while back because it was unnecessary to have THAT much time to set up for the 500.

It is SO nice to have the FULL month at Indy again!

I agree logistically its unwise to go there, then home, then back again, but I think its pointless having 2 races at the same place inside a month, so just drop the road course, I doubt the road course race makes much profit for any party involved,
