The win sure, the race not even close. Last lap was cool and all with all the big puddles and splashes as the two raced, but the controversy tainted this heavily.

Yeah, because of rules that had to be maintained even though the conditions should have dictated otherwise, and a decent second race.

Incidentally, GRM ended up calling it right - 30s time penalty for not taking the requisite amount of fuel, pitted to take said fuel and finished 27s back. If Scotty wasn't in the lead then I think the time penalty would have been the 'correct' option?

figured he couldn't win the race so tried a 360 entry.

And that wasn't the only time he spun too. I think he and maybe Whincup spun the most out of the whole field.

The stormy weather hit my suburb just as I was driving home from the train station. I guess it's a good thing the race was red flagged, I couldn't see any further than 10 metres ahead of me.

In fact, the weather is still hanging around. This is totally not like Adelaide, especially for this time of year.

Anyway, not the best Clipsal 500 I've attended, but I'd go as far as saying it will go down as the most memorable. I got drenched but it was totally worth it. Happy for Percat, shame so many people got done by a technicality in the rules though.
