Seems like the cars are pretty racey (spelling?) on fresh tires but really hard to pass after 20 laps or so. Gets them all lined up, but they can't do much else. Good close racing though.

I just can't see how locals consider it a dying sport. It just keeps getting better and better.

Whaddayaknow? WRC and then BTCC @Thruxton coming up next. Guess I'll pass on seeing X-Men tonight.

The only people who seem to think so are a vocal minority in the Speedcafe comments section. There's one particular person (if you ever read them, you'll know who) who frequents the comments section there who everyone has had enough of seemingly. My favourites are the ones who claim the Australian GT Championship will soon take over the role of Australia's top category.

Gotta love M.Jacobsen & his endless referrals to 'Supersilhouettes' & cookie cutters. Still, not as bad as the delirious MercedesHybdrid guy and his delusional praise of one L.Hamilton

Good god that guy is truly terrible. I do question my faith in humanity every single time I read one of his comments. It's literally vomit. :yuck:

Meanwhile, in another distant corner of the internet, we're probably being characterised as a similar group of lunatics.

Yeah there's one of these people on the "Supports Wrap" post with a photo of the 86's:

Just watched the V8Supercars or should I say super silhouette's , no matter how much ch10 try to talk it up , it's boring and dead in the water.
Things are bad when slade wins the kiwi Volvo is 2nd and finger bottom is 3rd .
Yep V8SC have stuffed touring cars in this country ............... bring on GT3

Insert random knowledge and post.

Kiwi Volvo and Finger bottom are 2 of the best but hahah

Yeah there's one of these people on the "Supports Wrap" post with a photo of the 86's:
Obviously, he doesn't like the way the championship has expanded in recent years.

Lap times are tumbling today.

Holy snaps!

This will be a race to watch. Just incredible for these cars. Even .5seconds seems like your race is over. Crazy.

I'm happy with this series. The Nissans up there. Volvo, Holden, FG Xs. I'll be a bit sad if there are no Volvos next year. That said, Nissan will have to stay. The cars are consistent and have a chance with two cars in the top 10 of the C'hip.

What a session! This stuff is impossible to predict.

TCM is awesome with that A9X out front. Edit: Now in 2nd.

Come to think of it. TCM would be a great stepping stone to get into DVS. Big hp, no abs, skinny tyres, no aero.

TCM is a great category. Went to Bathurst in 2014 with the number 46 team had a great time, hoping to do it again this year.

This race should be a gooden ;)

Who & what car was the 46? I saw them at the recent Sandown round purely to see them up close & they're nothing short of a work of art. Me want

Rick pulled away from Frosty.

Fab doesn't seem fast because Slade isn't far behind. DJRTP should pit Pye and see how things pan out.

Caruso is hanging with The Future. So, we'll see at the 2nd stop.

Edit: DJRTP should have pit Fab. I think they threw it away.

Edit 2: DJRTP are killing me. Pit the man!

Yeah DJRTP hasn't played it too smart with Coulthard. Pit in this lap or the race is well and truly gone.

I still think game over for DJRTP. Other teams have topped up. Slade is underfilled to jump Fab. It may reverse when they pit. However, Fab looks slow.

Jeez, getting sloppy now.

Not sure why they left Rick out there on old tires and brought Caruso in who had just pit before the safety car.

I can't understand it either. They are trying too hard to play each other.

Good Fab got up there but, Slade is trying to gap.

Winterbottom makes contact with Lowndes and Lowndes goes off.

Yeah, this race is not a happy one. Good racing but, the strategies are all over the place.

Lowndes in trouble?

Edit: Whoa! What is Bright doing going that way?
