Back to usual programming.

Zoom Zoom went boom boom. If I feel like saying something nice I will be sure to let you know.Is there a time when you aren't feeling the need to take a swipe at something?

Feel free to ignore me then.Damn, just when they had two cars capable of winning the race. 55 still has a shot but now, its question of whether they can even keep the car alive.
If you could stop being a smartass, that'd be great. All you do every race is throw shade at something, either at IMSA or at the DPs. Even with P2 cars leading, you feel some need to repeatidly do that. Lay the hell off of it, I don't come to the motorsport forums just for someone to bring the GT forum crap here under another name.
But the onboard camera in imsa.tv is still working, and the only one working.#70 retired due to failed oil pump.
Dont be negative, RACECAR is very sensitive.SNAFU then!

Ford & Shank actually managed to not self-destruct long enough to win.![]()
If half of the GS field quits the series in the last 6 months because among other reasons it cost too much to race against factory backed Ford's, the ridiculous Z-28's, and now the $165k Cayman that the only 2 car team is owned by a MLB player who has banked a cool $60 mil in his career.I'll pretend, for the sake of your argument, that you have a good understanding on what each and every Conti team can and cannot afford. We'll also ignore the possibility of a driver buying the car and having the team run it, which is often an option.
The car debuted in 2006 so it might be time to move on to something a little more modern and with a safer closed top.It would actually make little to no sense to replace the Lite cars with LMP3 ones. For starters they are about $100,000 more than a DP02 chassis and I'm guessing the running costs are higher as well.
Secondly it would completely ruin the ladder system for prototypes as PC cars were about 6 seconds faster than Lites around Sebring.

The gap between ACO P2 and P3 cars is about the same as PC and Lites at Sebring and that will grow larger once the new P2 specs debut next year.
The Lites class will be much slower than a P2 car and will no longer be relevant.
NP01- A tube framed car with 185 hp is the future of Lites over a 230 hp carbon tub car that weighs 400 lbs less, no way. That thing is at best a club racing car or a toy for track days.
How can I watch this race?
First you said Lites and now it is CTSCC, pick one. The P3 is too fast and too expensive for a field of production cars. It will however likely replace PC and Lites but the issue then is what to do with it and how to market it.I'm not arguing anything else. What I am arguing is how you say that it's not compatible for CTSCC due to costs yet expect teams with even smaller budgets to be able to afford it.
Ladder system with a car that is quicker and more advanced. What does this have to do with anything?
Lites will go away.Which is why you have a LMP3/PC class to fill in the gap.
It's a kit car.Hence the "modified" part you so kindly left out...
First you said Lites and now it is CTSCC, pick one.
Current mandated price for a LMP3 car is 206,000 euro which according to Google is $236,800. No Conti team can afford to spend that much money on a car.

It is a different series with different issues so it is impossible to make a exact comparison. ESM and JDC/Miller are both well funded 4 car teams so making the switch should not be a big deal for them. I dont know anything about the rest of the Lites field. There will be a few PC drivers looking for rides so there will be a few funded drivers walking around. So, if the LMP3 cars wouldn't be a good fit for CTSCC because of the cost, please tell me how Lites teams of roughly the same size would magically be able to afford it.
Is it something used to used to defeat a $20 billion wall on the Mexican border? See the ELMS LMP3 class for a reference of where the Imsa Am is likely heading.Do you know how a ladder system works? I mean, sure it's pretty pointless at the moment anyways as the P class is so small, but still, a ladder is rather pointless if you take a rung and move it up.
Open top cars are being phased out due to driver safety concerns which makes that car obsolete. Why should it? There were 25 cars at Sebring, which is pretty good for a 1 make support series.
The DP02 has a FIA-certified carbon fiber monocoque and meets European F3 crash test standards and the NP01 has none of that so you might want to start your modifications there. There is a reason it costs $81K vs $143K of the DP02. It is a KIT CAR for rich guys that live near one of those country club race tracks. It is not suitable for a Imsa ladder series as a replacement for the Lites car.You haven't been paying attention to my posts, have you?
I didn't say they should run it as it currently is. I said, run a modified version of it.
Anyways, if this is how you are going to debate I'm not even going to bother.
