I attended the November Test session at Daytona, and I was hanging around the garages and the Deltawing was having radio problems then. I think it was IMSA's fault for not calling a caution sooner, and also the marshal placement was very poor. Oh well, what's done is done and hopefully something that stupid doesn't happen in the future.
 
That #4 better be careful, he isn't going to be wanting to play argy-bargy with the DP's. That's a battle he will lose!

Oh I see, Corvette runs wide to let him by and everyone thinks he tried to hit him. GG McMurray slid into him, the Corvette left plenty of room. The #02 was impatient and paid the price for trying to bully its way through.
 
I kind of agree with the IMSA radio point of "damned if you do, damned if you don't". When they went FCY with the Ford GT earlier, it got moving under its own power after caution was called. The PC was either going to be that or a wreck. Granted, they should of called a caution given the location of the stricken PC, but it was either a pointless caution or a wreck, and both would have gotten IMSA criticism. Hindsight is always 20/20, but IMSA would have lost either way.
 
It sounds weird but they should have a flashing leds that is hanging over the track surface somehow for turn 1. It'll be on a long pole, but that marshal waving the flag from the other side of pit, I think is not exactly visible, and almost seems like a flag for pit exit not turn one.
 
@AnthonyD1993 Nothing like. The Ford was completely off the track in daylight. The PC.... Wasn't. Nothing like damned if you do at all.
 
The Corvette left enough room, McMurray drove it in deep on cold tires, and couldn't turn in. Wasn't Milner's fault.
