The Mazda caught fire.

Booth guest guy is also admitting that not going FCY during the stalled car during the DW incident was a mistake. At least he's man enough to admit they screwed up.

Just the ESM #2 left. Looks like a DP is once again winning.
 
The one race where the P2 cars are for once dominating and they literally fall apart. The 2 is the only P2 car left.
 
There's a cruel irony in this given that Mazda poked fun at Shank's Liger blowing up only for the now gas powered 55 to act like the Dieactiv diesel of previous season.
 
And the 2 barely has any headlights, so it's not looking good.
 
I'm headed to bed.

I am not a fan of prototype cars, but even less so the DP cars. Outside of this race, I don't follow this series at all. Will probably hang around for another hour or two then hitting the sack.

Too bad you don't follow the series full-time, you're missing out on the best GT racing on the planet.

Except they were making fun the tweet that said the 60 "Reportly" dropped oil even while there was a clear trail of oil leading straight to the car.

He doesn't really like the GT cars all that much either. He is more into racing with cars closer to the street then full out race cars (like the Continental Tire Sportscar Championship).

yeah which is why he is upset about the move V8s are soon to make after this season.
 
Had to resort to my PS4 to stream cuz my crappy backup pc was dropping the stream.

Well the basic architecture of the DP dates back to the 1980s when the GTP cars ruled IMSA, and they've been made faster than the state of the art LMP2 cars... And they're not actually pretty, though the Corvette is not as bad... so yeah.

They certainly do look better now than they did in their early years, though. Good god, those things were absolutely hideous when they debuted.
 
I think the Corvette C7 DP looks fantastic. The Riley Ford DP, however... :crazy:
 
Oh hell yeah. GTD is just as much as a dogfight as GTLM is. I love it.
