BOP in P and GTLM is now officially 🤬. Nice work by Nascar fixing the BOP for the home team AXR who are now 1 sec faster than the rest of the field. The squeaky wheel really does get the most attention.👎👎

GTLM the BMW's are now .3 sec faster on a slick track and faster in the traps than the rest of the GTLM field.

PC is a mess too since the new MOTEC system was developed by CORE and they seem to be the only ones who can make it work properly.

Thankfully after the cheater Lambos were fixed the GTD class is very close. 8 different cars within .8 sec of the top time.👍👍

I'm going to hold off on judging the BoP until at least after qualifyng. It's always been pretty pointless trying to base things of practice and testing times as teams always have different areas of focus during the sessions.

CORE has Braun.

Those two teams were going to benefit from anything, really.
THIS

Championship teams doing well, surprised?
An interview w/ Colin stated that CORE having the system first has spent a lot of time with the system making it work properly. He also said by doing so had their car setup lagging as other teams worked on their setups more. It's tuned now in I believe.

Never underestimate the power of the polo shirt and the lanyard I guess in FP4.;)

Yeah I heard that and it is a load of crap. I guess they made no changes to the car setup while testing the new system at Sebring while those other teams were back at their shops looking at their cars under fluorescent lighting and dropping the car off of the jacks pretending that they were driving over real bumps.:boggled:

AXR is based in Denver, North Carolina. Might want to get things right before you spew venom.

Also:

AXR has Pruett.
CORE has Braun.

Seriously, can you at least take a breath before jumping on IMSA for everything?

Yay I'm here! Got some sweet pics, and more to come.

Home team refers to the team owner of AXR Nascar's former accountant Bob Johnson and team boss Gary Nelson the creator of the Nascar R&D center. I gave no thought to were the shop was located but now that you have it is only 32.5 miles from the Nascar R&D center, which makes sense since Gary Nelson built it.

Green flag for qualifying. http://multimedia.netstorage.imsa.com/MULTIMEDIA1/index800.html

@Christhedude qualifies P10 in the 21 Lambo.👍

One has to wonder why he doesn't just start his own series since apparently all the existing ones are terrible.

Like I said DP domination.:O :D

 Brilliant work by the Shank crew up until 3am fixing the car.

Except nowhere in your post do you explicitly refer to the team owner nor team boss, hence it comes off as you reffering to the entire team being based somewhere in Florida since we're at Sebring.

At any rate, the point stands that the unnecessary anti-NASCAR bias you show everytime IMSA does something you don't like is unwarranted.

It's official....I love the Huracan GT3.

Good man!

I expected the Lamborghini's to be slower here because they should have left the BoP alone. The car was no quicker at a normal track, only at Daytona where are uber slick body actually helps.

Greaves looking at a possible DPi program.

So we have Starworks confirmed as well as Rebellion, Greaves and PR1 as possible new privateer entries. On top of those you have GM/Cadillac with whoever they partner with, Mazda and Shank who I'm predicting will become a factory Honda team. There's also the question of whether Alfa Romeo, Bentley or Nissan will jump into the picture.

For all the talk of the DPi class failing, it seems like it may be a repeat of what has happened with the GTD class.

Can't wait for Lone Star Lemans this year! I'll be driving my car down there this time.

It's still a little too early to say whether it'll be a success or a fail as far as I'm concerned, but there does seem to be an awful lot of people who are at least looking at running DPi. If even a quarter to half of those looking at running 2017 actually commit (especially the manufacturers in particular), the class could potentially have a decent entry grid next year.

I know it's a little early to determine the outcome, hence the "may be a repeat".:sly:

I would also imagine if any of the Europeans decided to run in IMSA it would just be the NAEC races or just Daytona and Sebring. Running the full season would probably cost way too much unless they had a driver willing to pay or were manufacturer backed.
