Congrats to Porsche for taking/earning their class poles. And then some. ;)
After 2015 I would think the whole series is ready for a much dryer year.

Here's a shot in the rain from Watkins Glen last year, it's a Cup car but I like the livery.

Looking at the SMP accident it looks like the problems started when the tow hook on the RF of the 488 snapped off and the rescue crew had to improvise and ended up hooking slings to the front wheels.

White knuckle ride.

Holy cow, that's some intense driving.

The Uber Panzer being sent to the back in GTD? What a shame.:sly:

Got my whole weekend clear so I can't wait for the race to start tomorrow!

Let's go Corvette Racing.

Also - LOL at people talking crap about Continental tires and saying that they wont ever buy a set for their car because of a perceived problem on the race track. You all are obviously free to do as you please, but you should know that you'd actually be missing out on some of the best wet weather tires out there. Even just some basic research of the performance comparisons on a site like Tirerack will show you as much. Regardless of all that though, I can tell you from personal experience that their production tires are absolutely fantastic in the wet.

Will IMSA.com be streaming the race? Site says they would stream qualifying and the 24, but I could never get quali to show on the streaming page.

I had the qualifying feed on my phone through the app, so I don't know what's up on your end.

IMSA website has a lay out for what times the race will actually show on their stream, it's in a banner to the right with the R8 in it. Says 7PM-10AM they'll stream the race

The engine change is showing some promise for the Mazdas. They both look genuinely competitive this year based off of practice times.

Which makes the fact they cannot produce a decent racing wet tyre mind boggling.

I wasn't able to watch any of the practice sessions this week and I've made it a rule to not read "sports journalism." Are teams/drivers actually complaining about these wet tires openly?

I watched the live feed(s). Recurrent fishtailing coming off corners was painfully obvious. Turning up onto the banking it could still be seen. My respect goes out to all who qualified that day.

I could have swore the Sage-Lexus deal was announced shortly after his release from Ganassi?

As for Bentley...

I look at it like this, with the way the regulations are set-up regarding factory teams it's very possible WSCC DPi could turn into a sort of LMP1/LMP2 hybrid.

Hopefully I was actually on to something.:D
