Has the 2018 version of this thread gone up yet?
Doesn't look like it.
Jonathan Bomarito, Tristan Nunez, Harry Tincknell, and Oliver Jarvis plus Spencer Pigot and Rene Rast for endurance events.
Now that is a solid line up.
Even split of Mazda drivers (Bomarito, Nunez and Pigot) and Joest-connected drivers (Jarvis and Rast drove the Audis while Tincknell is managed by Allan McNish).
It's strange seeing Tincknell drive for Ford in WEC but not in IMSA...and instead getting a second contract to drive in the states with a different team, Joest.
That is a solid driver line-up. I actually really liked the retro-scheme they did for Watkins Glen this past year. Even the alternate colour version was slick. It looked great during the race.
Only because the 2018 thread hasn't gone up yet. Performance Tech dropped their livery today. Not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but it is yet another Oreca.
It's not ugly, but it screams "I'll get lost in a sea of similar cars at LeMans".
...So much for "new" livery
Yeah, and I suspected that, sadly when their previous tweet or whatever had #SoulRed in it...It's not ugly, but exciting? Negative.
The color is striking but that's not a livery...Joest should also take over the "livery design" and make sure Mazda corporate has one less thing to screw up.
Yeah I like the color but I wanted to see it in it's raceday livery that is unless they don't have all of the sponsors lined up yet.
BMW RLL signs Connor De Phillippi for GTLM ride in 2018
I would say that's a pretty good signing for RLL. He won the 24 Hours of Nurburgring and Petite LeMans with Land Motorsports driving an Audi R8 LMS. He's one of the real upcoming American drivers. That's going to hurt Land which is supposed to do a full season in GTD I think.
So, Auberlen is finally toning down his lengthy and rather illustrious career - I wondered when that would happen. He's had a hell of a run.
Glad to see Nielsen is close to having a ride as well as there being an attempt to keep Stevenson around in some form.
*knocks on door* Excuse me... excuse me. Is this the '17 thread or '18 thread?
Kind of both at the moment since nobody has made a dedicated '18 thread yet.
I created a 2018 thread from my phone so I will be updating more when get on the laptop.
