Corvette #4 stopped at the trackside.

Let's see how long of a caution we get this time around?

Electrical issue, trying to cycle the power. Car not responding.

Edit: Car is trying to start but won't.

Edit 2: Car is ded.
 
Meanwhile I'm watching stupid ads for the Daytona 500...
 
The racing is getting better during these hours. Corvette parked up? Rare sight.
 
I finally get a good chance to sit down and watch the IMSA.com stream and the #4 pulls off to the side :(
 
While watching the onboard the car just suddenly died, lights began flashing, engine went silent almost immediately.
 
The 4 died right in front of the 10. That could have been really bad if Max didn't notice that and could have crashed into him.
 
Team must think the #4 is saveable though, maybe, they're talking of getting the brakes changed. Hopefully it's not them just trying to be positive. :(
 
How can IMSA be so good at balancing the GTLM cars but so bad with the Prototypes?
 
#4 guys are scrambling, Marcel is out of the car however. Brakes are being completely changed as well as tires.

And this was it's first time in the pits since the last time they had to do that right? They'll lose a lot of time if they have to do that every time.
 
There's a problem with the idle and throttle on the #4, but car is exiting pitlane. Car is back on track and running decently by the sound of it.

I'm not sure if they did a pit between those two, but if they have to keep doing it after each pit stop, or like every other pit stop, it'll cost them during green flag racing.

I think it's the fact that they still have little experience with the cars yet. Though I find it bad that they knew the Caddys were capable of this pace from pre-roar testing and still didn't do anything about it.

Second time.
 
The #4 definitely sounds like it has a throttle issue, engine running higher rpm in idle and has a problem under braking with the right rear.
 
Update: Right rear wheel was broken on the #4, car is out of tow which is causing the braking problem. Most likely caused by the hit from the #69.

Edit: Raining across infield.
 
This rain looks pretty heavy, the restart could be 'IMSA on Ice'

It's not something exclusive to this year though, every year there is one team which shows up with something a level above what anybody else has.
