Did you check it, it's from yesterday, so...

Also many of us are still in March 31st

No it hasn't Chrysler has dropped out a couple times, there have been other manufactures in NASCAR. And the entire premise of NASCAR is to sell the most family oriented type vehicles via winning. Toyota winning in any of the NASCAR series and having it broadcast over and over through a season each time they win, is PR that helps sell their car against domestic brands. Also Toyota assembly plants are based in the U.S. for the cars they sell here.

Does or doesn't? Cause to be honest, there is nothing racing wise other than P1 and WRC that I think Toyota really needs to be in. Super Cars isn't going do anything other than be a PR campaign.
The 86 program is a major PR stunt as is. Why not do Supercars? Camrys in NZ aren't being seen around the world, but they are racing.

As far as I can remember, I've only seen GM(Pontiac, Chevy, Oldsmobile, Buick), Chrysler(Dodge/Plymouth), Ford(Mercury) racing way before Toyota came in. Besides, Camry has sold extensively well before joining NASCAR.

Also, why not capitalise on Falcon and (in a way)Commodore exiting? As much as many in Australia might dislike Camry, the same can, used to, be said for Volvos. Plus, many Australians never heard of an Altima(even though it's been sold as the Bluebird in the 1990s) before 2013. Altima sales have plummeted, yet Nissan still want to play.

I'll take a Lexus joining. No problem there. Just that Toyota brushing off V8s saying it doesn't suit their scheme, is rubbish.

Shhh... don't spoil it. ;)

The annual Speedcafe April Fools joke is all well and good but I'm seriously concerned that one day, someone at Supercars will actually think it's a good idea.
And any actual news today is bad timing!

Incredibly bad.👍

The glow in the dark tires for night racing mentioned at the end would be interesting!

Did you check it, it's from yesterday, so...

I checked the date on the website, not the video, which showed 4am April 1st.

But I checked the video and it does say 6hrs ago on March 31st. Which makes no sense for where I live, because 6hrs ago was April 1st.

I know people are still on the 31st. No different to, say, NASCAR doing an April 1st joke on April 2nd for me. Still April Fools.

From the time I posted it is said 20 hours ago as the time the article was made. Considering the claims from time to time and the fact that it's a possibility not an actual claim that it will happen, tells me it's not a joke or April fool's prank.
Speedcafe is an Australian website, and has a history of publishing gag articles on April 1.

I know this, as I said it was not posted on April first from the time it gave me, not sure why your stating something that even if I didn't know the URL gives away. Though I didn't give a speedcafe article

Sometimes they upload stuff at weird hours, like at one or two in the morning. I suspect that it's to get on top of an embargo and/or to have an exclusive.

Watched replay action of Rd1 RallyX. Loves that MAN sponsor on Ekstrom's "Audi". :D:sly:

He's just upset because Inside Supercars dropped him.... on his head.
Unbelievable! He's on Inside Supercars right now. Talking about how DJRTP and PRA are working together to bring the Mustang forward.

Did anyone call him out on his fake news?

Cause that would have been a good laugh.

Crompton put the brakes on speculation. However, it was as if they(Inside Supercars) made him sit on his hands. He was only on for a couple minutes and hasn't been sitting there like last season.

Well in that case, Inside Supercars needs to think about the damage to their credibility.

You take your pants off at baby christenings?

You must be attending some very interesting christenings ...

...you know what?... :nervous:... I'm not even...

The Saturday race is only 50 laps and Sunday is 84 laps. I'm not understanding why Saturday can't be longer. There's only Aussie Racing cars Sports cars and S2 as support races.

Meaning the deed hasn't been done to even conceive a Mustang Supercar.

Just to add, you couldn't pay me enough to attend a Christening :yuck:
