So Penske dominate the weekend, but there's a problem at the last moment that hands the round win to Triple Eight even though Triple Eight haven't won a race?

Convenient.

And now Triple Eight has a problem with their tyre. It's Whincup this time.

I agree this years coverage with the classic races beforehand and the dedicated channel was very very good
True. Best coverage I've seen since the switch to Foxtel.

Edit: Rehashing old news, http://www.motoring.com.au/motorsport-alfa-romeo-confirms-supercars-interest-106229,
But imagine if those were two Shell V-Power Alfas claiming the Supercars round, over the weekend. Seeing 3 or 4 red Shell Alfas, would be cool.

Poor Percat. Finally gets a good drive and he's going to be stuck with Andrew Jones as his co-driver. I assume Oliver Gavin's schedule, clashes with the endurance races again this year?

Only Bathurst, unless he's doing something else for GM on the weekends he's not racing a Vette.

The Iron Maiden will be on Inside Supercars, in a few minutes.

Edit: Percat's car will run Biante Model Cars livery.

It's not as colourful as last week's livery but, that should keep all the redneck homophobes happy

About the Championship points thing at Albert Park. I hope Jean Todt has a bit of influence during ongoing talks.
Sure, it's about money over regulations, but it appears he is impressed by the Supercars camp.

Before I get shot down, it'd be great if he would push to change some rules, for Supercars to race in Europe.

One more thing. Just realised, if the 2018 AGP is points paying, RBHRT won't be able to use the race as a test session for their new car. If they encounter problems at Adelaide, might not be able to iron them out by Melbourne. Unless, they burn through test days.

I half think that's why Whincup said he wants to keep the AGP as a non C'hip event (probably not, but still).

And the other half being that he's struggled there if late, so making it a championship round means his championship bid will be much harder?

No doubt. Has been his bogey track for years. Definitely would have hurt RBHRT's momentum and brought other teams to the fore.

Okaayyyyy

Why don't they also bring in the led race positiin lights? Would help as well.

Pink? I bet SVG will just love that.

Edit: Ahh, forgot these news articles come from the future where it's already the 1st. ;)

Horse pucky! Why join NASCAR? How does that fit Toyota more than Supercars? NASCAR has always been Chrysler, Ford and GM.

No it hasn't Chrysler has dropped out a couple times, there have been other manufactures in NASCAR. And the entire premise of NASCAR is to sell the most family oriented type vehicles via winning. Toyota winning in any of the NASCAR series and having it broadcast over and over through a season each time they win, is PR that helps sell their car against domestic brands. Also Toyota assembly plants are based in the U.S. for the cars they sell here.

Toyota doesn't need to enter racing to sell Camry's. However, having a Toyota/Lexus program from 86 to GT4 to GT3 to Super 2 to Supercars makes sense as well.

Does or doesn't? Cause to be honest, there is nothing racing wise other than P1 and WRC that I think Toyota really needs to be in. Super Cars isn't going do anything other than be a PR campaign.
