15 second time penalty, apparently. Think that's fair, a drive thru would have been too harsh for that. Looked liked he locked up the rears going into the corner?
Don't think it was a lockup, but definately went in too hot.

SVG's good starts still ain't good enough. Every race he just drops back
This was the critical one for him, he needed to do well to have a chance at getting back in the running as far as points. Now, I see his chances slipping away.

Plenty of racing. Simona might pip Dale Wood.

Aww come now, Rick.

Does Reynolds have a issue or something? He's just going backwards now

100% agree one of his first front row starts in ages, so he needed to convert. But yeah if he drops outside of 300 points not much hope will be left

If 888 and DJR keep close in points when the enduros roll around, GAME ON!

The #17 is right there, but I don't know. I want to belieeeeeve.

Apparently his cool suit's malfunctioned, so he's burning up in there. Hope he keeps his wits about him though, 11 laps to go.

Yeah, its over
Long way to go til November.

Happy for Scotty, but I'm starting to get to the point where I'm wishing some of the other teams would step it up a little. Getting flashes of F1 in here with Red Bull (Mercedes) and DJRTP (Ferrari) hogging all the victories...

Ironically, Red Bull(PRA) did get a win. :sly:

I'd be very surprised if Matt isn't a fully fledged factory Porsche driver within another two-tree years. Even if he doesn't make it at Porsche, with someone like Webber behind him, he's going to go far.
I have no doubt he's on several radars following his opening performances of 2017.

Any rookie that plants it on Pole,
in a one make series as often as he has, is a definite talent.

I would think if the Sky is the limit then that means he could go as far as F1.

More that he could do whatever he wants. If he doesn't want to be in Formula 1, he could really do whatever top-flight series he wanted. Roland Dane seems to be grooming him for a Supercars berth as if it's a foregone conclusion.

And I'm sure MW is discouraging that, in a roundabout way.

Yeah I got that, but considering F1 is the pinnacle despite those who don't want it to be, that's what I'd think would be seen as "sky's the limit"

I see Nissan packing it up or looking at DJRTP and GRM to get serious.

It's just not happening(since the start). 7 years(at the end of contract) and only 2 wins, 3 podiums. Multiple DNFs for the #7; up and down performance for the #13 & #15. The only consistent car is the #78 and she's getting better.

Tyres or not, GRM has endured having no cars at all and forging ahead from the first race. Erebus, are in their second year of developing a new car and they're right up there every race. I sdont understand how they are struggling for straight line speed, again.

Because it's not a racing project. It's a vanity project. It gives the Kellys a platform to stay in the sport first and Nissan a presence in the sport second.

Nissan have a solution to their perceived lack of straight line performance available today in the form of a turbo V6 but no, they want to stick with their V8.

You reap what you sow.

I'm surprised they renewed last year. They're pretty much a consistent mid-pack runner with some very brief flashes of brilliance. They're constantly struggling to keep up with everyone else's advancements in pace. It's been 5 years, the cars should be perfect. GRM put the Volvo out there on the top spot the weekend it debuted. No excuses.

Inside Supercars: Lowndes just said the V6TT has a good noise. Lee Holdsworth asked, "Does it have a pop off valve?"
Lowndes: "It does. You hear a little whistle."
Lee perks up, smiles and says there could be a new market for this.
