Lets start with Fabinho joining Liverpool.

Move was announced earlier for £43 million plus £5 million add-ons, He is a Brazilian centre midfielder how can also play right back, he joins from Monaco and signed a five year deal.

This deal came out of nowhere tonight, he was heavily linked with Man United, who reportedly didn't bid for him.

On the VAR issue. It is needed but with a system where time doesn't really stop. Where the guy in London can tell the ref the decision he feels is just.

Ivan Strinic will be leaving Sampdoria and heads to AC Milan on a free transfer. Pepe Reina also joins AC Milan on a free transfer from Napoli and Milan are in talks with Fiorentina captain Milan Badelj on a free transfer.

The transfer strategy looks a bit different than last season after they spent €200 mil. only to finish one place better in the league and get hit with FFP sanctions.

Arsenal reportedly close to signing Dortmund defender Sokritis Pathasosupolousaisousis....

Not his real surname but it is long!

Italian Serie C side Rimini has offered to take Loris Karius on loan for a season so he can regain his calm.

Karius of course is still in Kiev, as he couldn't even catch his plane.

Edit: First inter-season manager swap. Shrewsbury lost the EFL Trophy final to Lincoln... and the League One playoff final to Rotherham... and now their manager, Paul Hurst, to Ipswich.

Paul Hurst left Boston for Grimsby via an illegal approach, which ended up in a court case which Hurst lost and ended up paying out to Boston. Then he left Grimsby for Shrewsbury in equally acrimonious circumstances and again now for Ipswich.

I've read some glowing endorsements of his contract conduct on Twitter this morning.

£50 Million for Arnautovic to United? No thanks, good player but not United calibre.

John Terry's left Aston Villa.

Not sure this should surprise anyone. Real Madrid has very strange expectations when it comes to their managers and I personally have no doubt they've driven the conversations which has lead to Zizou leaving.

Although the president has said they 'didn't see it coming'...

Donnarumma reportedly rejected a move to Liverpool after the clubs agreed on a €60m move. Liverpool now turn their sights to Alisson of Roma. They want to sign him before the World Cup because a good performance there would see his evaluation go up even higher than the €90m it is currently believed to be.

Real Madrid have offered €65m to Juventus in an attempt to sign Pjanic but Juventus claimed they will take no less than €80m for the player. In response, Real Madrid proposed €30m plus Modric.

Not EPL, and cross-posting from last season's Champions League thread, but Zidane quits.

How very Real Madrid.

Fabio Capello was dismissed at the end of the 1996/97 campaign despite winning La Liga; not winning the Champions League was too little.
Jupp Heynckes was dismissed at the end of the 1997/98 campaign despite winning the Champions League; 4th in La Liga was too little.
Vicente del Bosque was dismissed despite winning two La Ligas and two Champions Leagues in just four seasons.
Capello was dismissed again at the end of the 2006/07 campaign despite winning La Liga; not winning the Champions League was too little.

Surely the club run by the most fickle senior management team?

I did have my own musings over why Zidane's Madrid side haven't quite been there domestically but you absolutely cannot fault winning the European Champions League three times in a row. It's an astonishing achievement which will, in future, go down as one of the greatest achievements of our time.

Starts the big manager merry go round. Zidane could walk into any big team now. Juventus would be his next big move IMO.

So potentially, Real Madrid could start the 2018/19 season without Zidane, Bale and Ronaldo. But they could be getting Neymar.

Napoli's Sarri to Chelsea has seemed like a given but his €8m release clause doesn't expire until today. Could that leave time for Real Madrid to swoop in?

Chelsea have shelved plans for the development of Stamford Bridge citing 'the current unfavourable investment climate' (...like the man with all the money can't get back into the country!)

How about this for a merry-go-round?

Quote from article.
"Plans were under consideration to move Chelsea matches to Wembley stadium for the four years it would take to redevelop Stamford Bridge."

Chelsea always had trouble to buy some house,s but that looks like they sorted that one, But hey Wembley looks like its for sale. Me not happy with that at all. But thats another story. :(
So Chelsea slam in a nice offer for some competition for Wembley against the Fulham bloke who wants to buy it.
Save them in the long term since they have a ready built stadium bigger than what they have and thats why they are looking to be building a new one anyway. (Or wanting too)
In the mean time Spurs look like they might have to play a few more games at Wembley so why not rent them Chelseas ground for a while then sell the thing (Chelseas stamford Bridge) to Fulham since the bloke who wants Wembley just wants somewhere to play his american footy thing?
All that could happen a lot quicker than the years it would take to build a new stadium for Chelsea.
And all the FA talking crap about pumping money back into grass roots football. Sounds more like lining some pockets than owt else? But who knows?

EDIT: Fulham Bloke am on about. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/04/26/fa-talks-sell-wembley-fulham-owner-shahid-khan/

Heckingbottom sacked. Well that didn't last long. Thing is him leaving Barnsley may have added to Barnsley's demise (maybe not). Leeds are still in the same position but now morally worse in my view of Leeds United.

Sir Alex Ferguson has been discharged from Hospital and is now recovering at home. 👍
