"Would we entertain a third car? It would depend on a lot of things. I've said before that a two-car team is ideal, but again, a third car is a thought. It's farther away than doing the second, though."
If anything, I'd guess it would probably be a Indy 500-only entry, like Juan Montoya this year. I am curious as to who would want the seat, though...

Dallara don't want to manufacture more cars. There's only what 36 chassis in existence?

Agreed. As to who'd want the seat? Who knows. Could be Kyle Kaiser, Spencer Pigot if he doesn't get a full time drive or anyone else.

Define chassis. Rolling chassis with engines and TBA listed as the driver or tubs because each team has a spare tub in the transporter at every race.

I don't think it's impossible for him to go to a Chevrolet team.

Granted I don't see it happening anyways as I doubt any team outside of Penske or Ganassi can afford him.

Yeah I reckon with both Kanaan and Chilton probably on the way out, there'd be room. But I feel like Ganassi typically revolves around Dixon. Not sure Alonso would enjoy that or if Ganassi would give equal treatment there
