Come on man at least your squad has a winning record. They are ahead of schedule and as such they suffer from what a lot of teams in their situation suffer from.... youth. TBH I think them beating the Ravens the way they did was the worst thing that happened to them. They were getting hyped by the media and Joe Burrow was an MVP candidate and they bought into to it. They will be okay just have to do a better job managing expectations. Burrows & Chase are the truth, they just need to improve those offensive & defensive lines. ( Burrows is getting hit too much I still feel like they should have taken Sewell) Anyway enjoy the season because you know as fans of sorry teams (my team is the Jets) you have to enjoy seasons like this because you don't when it may happen again
I don't envy crumby play with terrible records. The Jets have been pretty awful the last few years. But NYJ have at least won a playoff game this century (2010). And the year before that, they took out the Bengals with rookie Mark Sanchez at QB (I was at the game. Miserably cold with a brutal wind chill, turnovers, missed field goals, etc...I wish I had stayed home.).

And that's my point. The Bengals either suck (no expectations some years, so whatever) or they play well enough to get our hopes up, only to ultimately fail if they do make the postseason. Every. Time. As in, they haven't won a playoff game since 1990. Over 30 years ago. Not counting the loss they took after their win that year, they are 0-7 since, including 5 seasons in a row getting knocked out first round. Is it too much to ask to win just 1 wildcard game? Even if accidentally?

Burrow and Chase seem like the real deal, but we've become so accustomed to blowing it many of us assume nothing will come of it. I fully expect a Burrow injury.

By the way, this paragraph from Wikipedia about their latest playoff loss to the Steelers in 2016 about sums up what I'm talking about.
"This marked another round of playoff futility for the Bengals, who lost their fifth playoff game in a row after starting the season 8–0 and finishing with a franchise record tying 12–4 record, despite losing starting quarterback Andy Dalton to a broken thumb injury in week 14. The Bengals have now lost an NFL record eight consecutive playoff games since 1990, while coach Marvin Lewis' playoff record fell to 0–7, the most losses ever by a coach without a postseason win. After the game, Dalton stated that "This locker room should feel a lot different right now. We won that game and then we didn't"."

This is what following losing teams does to you. You fully expect bad things to happen no matter how good they may be at the time. Get new qb you expect him to fail. new coach and gm same thing. I think the issue with these teams is always the same. Iif the owner doesn't care your team is basically screwed Ie Jets, Bengals etc...

Happy Veterans Day! Tonight begins an AFC battle as the Baltimore Ravens will head down to Miami to take on the Miami Dolphins. Enjoy tonight's action if you'll be watching/following!

Odell Beckham Jr. signed with the Los Angeles Rams, and the Carolina Panthers picked up Cam Newton. Best of luck to both players with their new teams.

Maybe all the Miami Dolphins needed to do to get back to winning is beat my Texans. Now back-to-back wins for the Dolphins as they whacked the visiting Baltimore Ravens 22-10 last night.

While Cam is definitely not the player he once was. He's still a far better option than anything the Panthers have at the moment. It's going to be great to see him in the jersey again.

So satisfying to see a team like the Dolphins take down Baltimore. Of course, now we'll watch the Steelers take over the division...:irked:

Steelers were given the opportunity to do so and decided it would be a good idea to fail against Detroit and tie. In this case, a tie IS a loss.

Tampa Bay got out-something'ed by Washington and lost a game they had no business losing.

In the time I took to write this post, the Jets gave up 2 more touchdowns as their turnstile defense gives up a boat load of points. In their past 4 games, the team has surrendered 178 points.

I am sorry I didn't hype up this Sunday of action. I'll use this time to discuss some games.

* After getting embarrassed by the Denver Broncos last week, the Dallas Cowboys grounded the Atlanta Falcons 43-3 in Arlington, TX.

* The New England Patriots hammered the visiting Cleveland Browns 45-7.

* The Detroit Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers played to a 16-16 tie. Detroit didn't lose, but they didn't win either.

* NFC South meets AFC South in Nashville. The Tennessee Titans beat 'dem New Orleans Saints 23-21.

* The Carolina Panthers went out to the desert and whacked the Arizona Cardinals 34-10.

* The Buffalo Bills stampeded the New York Jets 45-17 in East Rutherford, NJ.

* The Washington Football Team tamed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 29-19 at home.

Congratulations to all other winners from this week!

I watched the Jets game yesterday and the future "Tom Brady" Mike White turned into Nathan Peterman. Th NY media was playing up as some great unknown qb after ONE game. I was like let's what he can when a team can game plan for him. Buffalo took away the short passes and he had a poor game. Buffalo normally has their lbs drop into pass coverage and the only way to stop is to run the ball but Jets didn't run the ball enough. They a few chances to keep it close early but they missed out. One thing I didn't like is they left Diggs in single coverage most of the game and he torched them. Where were the adjustments? The only thing good to come out of the game is that incessant chatter about Mike White being a franchise qb will stop

The Kansas City Chiefs smashed the Las Vegas Raiders at Las Vegas 41-14 last night. As for tonight...

Rams at 49ers TONIGHT!

Nothing like a good old in-state rivalry in any level of sport. Tonight, we have the state of California and the NFC in vogue tonight as the Los Angeles Rams will head up to Santa Clara to meet the San Francisco 49ers. It's another classic SoCal vs. NorCal match. It also another Los Angeles vs. San Francisco rivalry. The Rams are 7-2 on the season so far, and the San Francisco 49ers are 3-5 on the season. Pending a draw, one of these California teams will be victorious. Which, though? We'll find out tonight!

--- BETTING INFO ---
FAVORED: LAR (-3.5)
OVER/UNDER: 50.5 points

Please enjoy tonight's game if you will be watching or following!

I know I shouldn't be. But I'm starting to feel optimistic about the Panthers again. Amazing how much can change in a week. It's not just Cam tho. The game yesterday was easily the best they had played since the opening three weeks. Their next three or four games are favorable. Hopefully they can keep this kind of form up.

I saw they won yesterday I didn't watch after watching the Jets taking an L. They should have never gotten rid of Cam. They also should have known better than to get the Jets sloppy seconds  They are getting healthy at the right time and can make a push for the playoffs

Because the Jets now magically have no defense. All of their power is.... well actually, it's non-existent. They should hope Seattle continues to get in its own way so they can get 2 top 10 draft picks for 2022.

That's what happens when you use a system that doesn't fit your personnel and you play a bunch of young players

Please don't remind me what they gave up to get Darnold. :indiff: It's just amazing how good Darnold looked for the first few weeks and then he went completely the other way, fast. Kind of feel sorry for the guy. This may have been his last chance at cementing a starting job.

Definitely in hindsight they should not have gotten rid of Cam. I can sort of understand why they did it at the time though. Phenomenal player at his peak but injuries seemed to have caught up to him. Still, he's a way better option at this stage for Carolina than anyone they currently have. And yeah, hopefully they can stay healthy now. Especially CMC.

So the last two weeks have been disastrous for some top teams. The huge survivor pool I (was) in lost 97% of participants in the last two weeks....ouch. I wonder if Vegas is cleaning house right now.

This about sums up where I'm at.

Jared Goff needs to be fired...out of a cannon into the sun. Seriously, how did this guy win a Super Bowl? He's straight-up trash and has zero situational awareness. I get the Lions WR core is not great, but there were so many plays where there's someone open and Goff tries to force the ball into double coverage or just dumps it off to Swift for 1 or 2 yds. Look down the field you hack. It looks like he's playing Madden out there where he just says prior to the play, I'm going to throw it to X player no matter what.

I really liked on Sunday how Campbell took over play-calling duties to keep the ball out of Goff's hands because he has zero confidence in him. Unfortunately, Blough (the backup) is even worse so it's not like we can even swap Goff out of the game. Thankfully, Tim Boyle should be back soon and while not great, he's not horrific as Blough.

Oh, and last Sunday's Lions game was the funniest game I've seen in a long time. It's like neither team wanted to win and was just a comedy of errors all the way around. Also, Ryan "porn stache" Santoso should never be on an NFL football field ever again. His career-long is 35 yds and missed two chip shot field goals. If Seibert is going to be out for any length of time, the Lions seriously need to just grab someone, anyone, off of free agency. Hell, I'll suit up for a six-pack and an oversized novelty foam finger.

For the first time in 393(?) days, the San Francisco 49ers won a game at home, handling the Los Angeles Rams 31-10.

Week 11 arrives in the 2021 NFL season. Coming up are some of the many games slated for this week:
  • NE Patriots at ATL Falcons (THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • DET Lions at CLE Browns
  • HOU Texans at TEN Titans
  • MIA Dolphins at NYJ Jets
  • NO Saints at PHI Eagles
  • WAS {Football Team} at CAR Panthers
  • CIN Bengals at LV Raiders
  • DAL Cowboys at KC Chiefs
  • PIT Steelers at LAC Chargers (SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)
  • NYG Giants at TB Buccaneers (MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL)

WEEK 11 BYE WEEK TEAMS: Denver, Los Angeles Rams

After the Detroit Lions played to a tie at the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Lions avoid the dubious distinction of potentially being the first 0-17 team in NFL history. They are now 0-8-1, and the Steelers are now 5-3-1. Detroit did have that team that finished 0-16 back in 2008. That was until the Cleveland Browns later finished 0-16 in 2017.

Enjoy this new week of NFL football!

You know Goff didn't win a Super Bowl? The year the Rams went to Super Bowl he was along for the ride. The defense was lights out that game all they had to do on offense was score 2 touchdowns. If they scored 14 points they would have beat the Pats. When your coach would rather start John Wofford over you it's a problem. Hopefully Detroit can actually win a game. If they play the Jets they just might win though

Enjoy tonight's Thursday Night Football game if you will be watching/following Patriots at Falcons.

[UPDATE] Wrong TNF game mentioned. Changed.

Lions/Browns could be a real good game. By good, I mean it’ll be a sloppy, terrible showing of the sport. Also a trap game for the Browns. So the question is who goes first? Do the Browns, Brown, or the Lions, Lion?

I smell a tie. It will be perfect for Detroit to achieve another dubious record such as tying more than once in a season.

I did a quick Google Search a couple of days ago about teams that finish with ties. Apparently, the Chicago Bears have the most tied finishes in NFL history, but that was before more modern scoring in 1974. I think I read the Green Bay Packers had six all-time ties and then the Philadelphia Eagles with five ties, both after 1974. Just hope no teams go into Overtime like earlier this season in college football where Illinois and Penn State played to nine overtimes!

No matter how hard they tried, the Atlanta Falcons' side of the scoreboard didn't light up. The New England Patriots hammered the Atlanta Falcons 25-0 last night in Atlanta.

The day is Sunday, and the season is Fall/Autumn. Must be time for some NFL Football! So go enjoy today's games along with the Sunday Night match tonight. Let us know how your team(s) did, be it win, lose, or draw.
