Incredible result for Cadillac and Hertz Team Jota. A very emotional Alex Lynn there!

Amazingly, my boss actually ended our work meeting today to ask me about Jenson Button, as she only just heard the other day that he is racing at LM this week - I was very impressed that she bothered to ask, and I said that his car/team were in with a good shot this year!

I've never felt so lost as this year when it comes to make predictions, it's gonna be a tough race for everyone.
I was about to say the same thing. Before the qualifying sessions I would have predicted Ferrari or Porsche as the winner but now anything is possible.

It‘s cool though since it’ll (hopefully) mean an unpredictable and exciting race for us. I‘m really looking forward to Saturday!

I think that Cadillac, Ferrari, Porsche and BMW are definitely in the running for victory. BMW with only two cars though, an one car (the #15) with a crew maybe too spicy to last 24 hours with so much competitiveness all around.

Alpine and Toyota are probably on a same boat in term of performances, but not for reliability and strategy. They will be the first to benefit from the battles that will take place ahead. Toyota can still think to victory tonight but they need a race with the less possible SC, FCY, etc.

Aston Martin could challenge these two early on into the race, but probably not on the long run where they might find.... Peugeot...

Top 6 and 8 of 10 LMdH cars. The Jota cars ran higher downforce with the slowest top speed in the session so it will be interesting to see how they race.

Damn it, JB's car on the front row. I'm actually going to have to watch the race now.
Any alternatives to the evil Discovery for us in the UK?

FIA WEC app - £15 for full coverage of Le Mans; or you can pay £45 for access to the rest of the season.

Discovery+ use the same coverage anyway, but it's £31 a month and has ads up the wazoo. I'm glad to report, however, that Apple have refunded me.

That's how the car behaves to begin with, it lacks top speed just like last years. It suffers from the same instability problem with low drag setups as the Dallara LMP2 which is built on. They won't be able to change that any time soon.

This is in french, but Sebastien Bourdais isn't happy at all (as often, lol), they are ready to suffer during the race :

Ford going with the Oreca chassis for their upcoming LMDh. Hopefully they have better success with it than Alpine.

Acura won several races with the same chassis as Alpine. The thing is if it's 2027, it will be the last year of the Oreca 07 chassis. I don't know what happens next. Still less a problem than if you pick from a Multimatic or Dallara.

But obsessed like they are with the Ferrari VS Ford thing at the ACO, I have no doubt they will be competitive from the start.

The Hypercar Ruleset has been extended to 2032.

It's also been confirmed that the Asian Le Mans Series will introduce a privateer-only, Pro-Am Hypercar class in 2026.

To me, the latter piece of news is the biggest deal. One of the goals with LMH and LMDh was to make the class more open to privateer teams, including the ability to purchase cars from OEMs. With the exception of Porsche and arguably Cadillac, that hasn't realy gone anywhere. I'm extremley curious to see which teams and chassis make the jump next year.

I'm not sure what happened but when I checked the race feed listing on Max a couple of days ago on the PC they had multiple onboards and race control feeds listed and now they are all gone.

2032 huh, this current bunch of cars will be racing at Goodwood by then.
