Solid race overall. Another Ferrari win, but it was definitely pretty tight in that last hour. Excellent driving and fuel saving from both cars, though that final FCY was probably a pretty big help.
A great effort from Alpine as well. It was looking pretty good for the #36 car for a while, but the tires unfortunately reached the end of their life a little bit too early for Schumacher to steal 2nd.
Excellent performances from Toyota, Cadillac and even Aston Martin. Given how poor Toyota's BoP was going into the race, I'd reckon that a 4th place finish is a very satisfying result. Cadillac finishing P5 & P6 is also a very welcome result given how their first 2 races went this year. Aston Martin was showing some signs of progress with the Valkyrie, with the #007 getting into and staying in 10th before it had to make its final stop.
Peugeot were definitely the biggest losers here. They showed excellent pace for the first half of the race, only to be undone by a frankly silly strategy call for one car, and the other car retiring with suspension damage. A disappointing result given the speed they showed today. Porsche was absolutely nowhere today as well.
LMGT3 was a fun Ford vs. Ferrari battle towards the end. Happy to see the Mustangs take 2nd and 4th today. Also, Iron Lynx and and the Mercedes AMG GT3 weren't dead last this time, so that's a plus for them.
Onto Le Mans!
