I couldn't find anything on a search.

I didn't do the money glitch, so credits are valuable. Which of the 20m credits cars would you guys recommend. (I don't have one yet.) Top speed is not an issue. 'Grin factor' is paramount... :)

The 250 GTO is beastly within the 475-525 PP, has so much power and top speed considering these not very high PP figures.
About the Le Mans classic race cars, I think the Jaguar XJ-13 and the Ferrari 330 are equally good - The Ferrari having higher straightline speed and the Jag being better on cornering.

To me these 3 are the best, you choose depending on your preferences.

However, if you have few cars, I wouldn't recommend buying any at all, I mean there are a lot of very useful and good cars for much less money (from 500.000 to few million range)

I would not recommend to get one unless you have enough cars to finish the game with no difficulty, I haven't done the glitch too, but I made a LOT of grinding, enough to buy 5 of them, but I decided to get a bunch of Le mans prototype and other quite expensive cars instead.
A 20 mln car means winning the Red Bull standard championship 9 times (around 3 hours of play), the fastest way to get credits so far, so choose wisely.
The only one I have is the Ferrari 330 P4 because is my all time favourite car. The other good choice is the 250 GTO also because is new to the series, the Mark IV and the XJ-13 are awesome too, a difficult choice...
Pretty sure you would not need such an expensive cars for the carreer mode so pick the one you like the most.

Just bite my fingers to get the 330 P4 few weeks ago, not as impressed as it used to in GT5, like someone already pointed out, fast on straights, but just feels a little pushy on turns (could be just me).

The GT40 is a wonderful car as is the 330 but if it were me then I would buy the Alfa TZ for 10M and the Shelby Cobra Coupe for 7.5M. You'd even get some change. ;)

Both are awesome cars and to me the equal of the 20M ones. I simply love driving both of them and if I could have one then it would have to be the Cobra Coupe.

I do love the GT40 though :)

MKIV.

I may be biased but it's fast on straights, has great balance, poise and traction and sounds amazing. 👍

It's not even hard as the Stratos but is not a super-super-easy car to master (without driving aids), I really like it because it's my dream machine, maybe the best car ever built.
On top speed is actually faster (4km/h) than the Audi R18  Stock goes at 327 km/h.

I've earned my credits - and my first (And only) 20 million car was - the Ferrari 250GTO.

And I'd tell you to pause before you do buy this car.
1st it is "Race Car" so can't be used in loads of A spec Career events races.
2nd It is Old Race car - so has ... traditional levels of grip for cross-ply tyres and no Aerodynamic down-force to help you out. (This is a Good thing.)

- To make it competitive you will need to muck about with it - which kind of defeats the point of it being worth 20 million.

If you want a good old front engine Ferrari I'd say try a 365GTB4 (Daytona) - Get that Gumball Rally (Raul Julia)/Miami Vice (Don Johnson) feel for a smidge of the outlay.

I am not sure what 20 million car I am going to get next... So will look at this thread for pointers!

The racy LeMans 60's cars could be good. (Fezza P4, XJ13 and the MKIV Ford GT...) I liked the 69 Mk1 GT40 - and it seems much of the above posts have foreshadowed my thoughts

Thanks for the replies, guys. I completed the game ages ago, I just want to get one of the old 20m cars that's great fun to drive. (I already have the Alfa & the Shelby suggested above.) Loved the Ferrari 330 P4 in GT5, but don't know what it's like in 6.

I just had a 💡 moment! Save game, buy car, test drive, reload old save, rinse & repeat. Then decide... 👍
