I can imagine it is specifically implemented for endurance races onlyI've been trying to replicate this in non-endurance races, and without success so far at two and six laps (corresponding to five and 11 minutes of those races).

It's been my experience that GT7 is 100% reliable when suspending and resuming on PS5.
However:
It does - and GT7 (as a whole) is unplayable and cannot be saved until updated and restarted. Also power cuts, kids getting on your console to play Among Us on their accounts, and acts of dog.
To answer your first question, we've not had anyone unlock and start one of the multi-hour endurance races (to my knowledge) yet to report back.
Ive asked in another thread but just got a like for the answer.lol So,does the PS5 have to be in rest or is it possible after a full shutdown.I have a long way to go before I get to the endurance races anyway.I can imagine it is specifically implemented for endurance races only
You forgot to do a somersault while spelling Yamauchi in reverse ! It is actually quite simple !I currently can't find the post. But in one of the threads it was suggested that you can use the feature in any world map race after a multiple of 3 laps.
I couldn't replicate this as i started the 1 hour Spa race and got out in lap 4. I paused the race, pushed the PlayStation button to get out of GT7. Closed the GT7 app in the main menu, restarted the PS5, chose another account to play something else, shut down the PS5 and started again in my GT7 account, started the game and was heading to the 1h Spa race again. No such option was to be seen.
Looks like it only works in Endurance racesI've been trying to replicate this in non-endurance races, and without success so far at two and six laps (corresponding to five and 11 minutes of those races).
I tried closing game at 9min. And another just completing 5 laps. Both times i closed the game and was able to continue progress. It’s still inconclusive.
It appears it works for both shutting down and rest mode. I’m also not sure if it’s laps elapsed or time elapsed that the state is “saved”.
