Hmm... what about in the ring? I'm guessing just a lap right?

Morgoth, what I mean is that will this 787 run the same distance as any other car. Let's say the 787 runs 50 miles on a full tank (Just an example) will any other car like a skyline also run 50 miles on a full tank? In other words did PD model the fuel system individually for each car?

Different cars do use different amounts of fuel. Also, it runs 3 laps on the ring 👍

Yes the cars do vary at least somewhat. I haven't done the 24's yet and most of the others I've only run one car, but having done the Grand Valley 300 in several different cars they all had different fuel mileage. In that two hours, some cars used around 10-15 liters more than others, from a sample of under half a dozen and assuming it wasn't all from my driving which gets pretty consistent results in the same car.

Don't know how much it varies in the high-end prototypes since they are a similar class, but they often do vary in the real thing, for whatever that's worth. After all, tank size varies in the real thing too....

I wonder if they have the tank size information and mileage on the cars specs in the garage.

They do not. But all group c and lmp cars have 100liter tanks (which is very unrealistic)

3 laps? Wow... that's awesome. I wonder how much will my bob do with the red bull when I give it to him. lol

Well, the last 2 mins on the third lap is a bit shakey at times. But manageable. You will save LOADS of time by the end of the race by running 3lap stints over 2lap

So it's possible to run out of fuel? D: I HATE going at 50MPH!

You don't have to worry about being low on fuel. You tires usually wear out a few turns before the long straight on Nurburgring, so you just have to be careful

I normally drive on Hards if there is tire wear. So yeah guess I'll do that, be more careful, thanks for the heads up.

No problem. Put medium on the front though. It will give you a second per lap maybe 2 seconds, but you will still be able to last as long, since rear tires wear out faster

shoe is right medium in front hard on rear

if you have a -30 sec gap while you are at 1st then use hard tired other then that use medium tired all the way...

p.s. might need to change into rain tired if show wet 50% make sure you need to make a right judgement

Aren't softs better for the rain?

It depends but just to be safe rain tyres will be the best due to grip if the road is 50% wet I think

I did the 24 hour Le Mans last week, and I felt that changing to intermediates at 15% and to wets at about 75-80% seemed fine.. the advantage of sticking to intermediates for a high %-number is that the tires will have enough grip if the track is drying or getting more wet over a lap or 2. You don't want to be caught on full wet tyres when the track is more dry than wet. Nor do you want to be caught on full slicks in a munsooon-like rain.

Oh this is definitely gonna be a challenging race.

It's my favorite race. If you're racing in HD, you're in for a treat. PD did great with the visuals. Watching it go from day to night then to day again is incredible. And racing at the dead of night during heavy rain is really cool, too. Just enjoy the race. Don't think of it as something just stopping you from completing the game.

That's pretty much how I see most of the endurance races. :P The other ones like suzuka are long too and are gonna be challenging.

I did suzuka in 4 hours 3 mins with my x2010 vettle. The whole thing was rain....it was the worst of the endurance races. Worse than 9h tsukaba

Yeah, when you do Suzuka, make ABSOLUTELY sure it is not raining. You would regret it.

I forgot how many laps was Suzuka. And I'm thinking using the X1 for that one and also use the X1 for Tsukuba cause I'm lazy. How many laps should I do before I stop running in Tsukuba??

Suzuka is 172 laps

For the 9 hour tsukaba I think it's 600? Maybe 640? It gets boring. That's for sure...

I think 24 hours Nurburgring is the hardest then 24 hours Le Mans cause in Nurburgring is the longest track ever and going to pit for almost every 2 laps

SSR7 and SSRX are longer. It's harder because IT'S THE "hallowed" NURBURGRING!!

its the green hell. nothing else needs to be said.
hills. blind corners. bumpy track. thin track. nothing about it makes this an easy course.

That's what I'm saying. The 'Ring is the one track that has everything. Uphill corners, downhill corners, reverse corners, then to top it all off a strait where you can get higher speeds than on the Mulsanne. And it was called green hell because of all the trees that used to grow inches from the track: drivers would steer a bit too little and hit a tree.

You've just been Venomspec'd.
