3 Chrome Line cars as Christmas present for Japanese players

Pretty upset that we don't get the Jag :( Oh well guess I'll have to save up the $20M to buy one :P
 
Well this is not racism of course, but it's disappointing they have something more than us, not a good marketing move, it's Christmas for the rest of the world too 👎

They don't have something MORE than us. They didn't PREVIOUSLY get ANY access to the chromeline cars. We did. And there are still a couple chromeline cars that we got and they didn't even see (shelby cobra is one, I can't be bothered to remember the others).

If I have to get bent over all the games Japan has that I want to play and never get translated in a language I can actually read decently (and that's REALLY them having something more than us, considering some of the gems they get and we don't), i'd bash my head in against a wall.
 
I will be extremely disappointed with PD if they hand out stealth or chrome line cars like that to everybody.

there has to be some kind of reward for players pre-ordering a game or even pocketing the extra 40 bucks on a game.
 
I'm American, and I was unable to get the Jag through the facebook game. Of course there were no "free" downloadable cars available here. In fact, I haven't seen anything TO purchase in the PlayStation store for GT5.

It would have been nice, but its all good. A nice chrome line German touring car would be great right about now...
 
This does kind of suck that Japan is the only one to get this for free. Would have bee cool if he let everyone get something

Actually I have never understood why all main markets are not treated equal with all games.

At least they could put chrome line pack to PSN store for couple bucks. Or just give standard versions of those cars, i do not really care about the stripes.
Also some shops in Finland said that they have run out of DLC codes so all chrome line cars were not available to all players in the first place.

You get the GT Academy. Europe and Japan do not. It's a bit rich of you to whinge about not getting exclusive content when you already have your own exclusive content.
 
i have a japanese account and european. Ive downloaded the Jag and its in my saved file menu. How do i transfer it over to my euro account which i run the game on.

For those of you upset that you paid 3.5 million dollars for whatever sucker limited edition you bought, you'll hear no sympathy from me.

You're the ones teaching these companies that it's okay to pull little bits of content from games and making them exclusive to whatever pre-order bonus or limited edition nonsense. With any luck they'll bring those cars to the North America or Europe for free so that you people can learn not to spend 200% more on a game for some crap that's already in it. Only you get a garish chrome stripe.

Don't get upset at everyone else because they intelligently understood that they would have been ripped off.

Yeah, good. Normally America get's all the cool stuff... Now it's someone else's turn... Sucks doesn't it? Besides, the Chrome Line cars weren't availble in Japan untill now. I bet they're very excited.

too bad that what Europe got didn't give any in game/DLC content like the american one does.

So yeah, you got your own exclusive stuff (and I'd say that the content from GT academy is quite more sizable than three fugly chrome cars that can't be used in most races), and you bitch that you don't get ours too? How droll :D

yep, they're exactly the same as the chromeline cars we got, they don't have a year, so they can't be raced in period races, they don't have a make, so they can't be raced in make races, they can't be painted, and the paintjob is rather bad, with some color that I personally refuse to even look at despite having them.

So yeah, people are whining over nothing, as usual.

I think it's just as fair that if someone can "buy" an advantage to bump start the game and win races right from the start with unbeatable machines, that other can later get these cars when that edge is gone. At least for completion and collection. That is the only reason I'd like those. Even if they can't be used for, for instance, the classic race.

If I recall correctly, GT PSP had "exclusive" cars with pre-order. You could have 2 out of 4. Later they were made available for free via PSN. First in JP then (as I found out when looking for the GT5 ones) in EU and probably US. So I'm counting on the stealth and the chrome to become available to all sometime in the near future.

As for paying for exclusivity... It's like getting a car with optional custom rims and expecting no one else to have/want to have them.

LOL. Sorry but no. When content is publicized as "exclusive" selling or giving it away after easily borders into false advertisement (like Forza10 did with the VIP status, even going as far as using charity as an excuse to grub more money, making a ton of people angry in the process). Can't care the less if the ones that didn't care for that "exclusive" content earlier now whine because they can't get it.

Also, no collector's car is unbeatable. They just come pretuned.

He's from the United States, not Europe. People from the USA can't get the chrome Jag without having an EU account and EU copy of the game.

And here's where you're wrong. I have an american account to access US home, and guess what, by redeeming the code on my euro account, the Jaguar appeared on the american one too.
You just need to create an european account to redeem the code on, and it will unlock on all the accounts present on your PS3, no matter the region.

The only thing with which this trick doesn't work is GT academy.

Us Americans are stuck with one Stealth apeice, plus whatever we can get from other people. And no 787B (or a few others). On the plus side, the ability to use region-specific DLC means a full Stealth/Chromeline pack could be given to NA without cheating JP/EU users who bought the SE 💡

I have an american account to access US home, and guess what, by redeeming the code on my euro account, the Jaguar appeared on the american one too.

It's not a matter of equality, simply that different regions have different marketing offices, that decide the bonuses independently, depending on several factors that quite obviously some nonsensical people can't even start to understand (legal, sales, production costs in different regions and so forth).

Gotta love how people whine and cry over worthless things.
