Project CARS 2 DLC Car Pack Info Revealed on PlayStation Store

Exciting looking car packs. But we only get 4 car packs out of the entire game? I thought they would produce at least 12 car packs or a car pack every month until Project Cars 3 come out in 2 years.

With how heavily Vaughn Gitten Jr was involved in the game and how much he was used in marketing the game it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see his RTR drift Mustang as a part of the fun pack!

I totally disagree with all this DLC content.

All content should be in the full game from Day 1.

A game costs £50 so it's not like they're not gonna make a raise.

Shameless profiteering and everyone accepts it as the new norm.
You are not forced to buy it and you knew all the cars and tracks that would ship with the game before release. It's then a choice as to whether you think that content is worth £50. If you do you buy it, if you don't you don't buy it. You then have a further choice, do I want to buy this extra content for this amount. Simples.

Safe to assume that atleast one of the 2 Tracks of the fun Expansion will be a Rallycross Track. With perhaps Stadium Trucks, Drift and RX Cars.

The Ferrari Expansion will include Mugello i would guess. Its owned by Ferrari and was in the PC1 Beta.

Le Mans Pack will probably include the old Le Mans from the 80s and some missing Legends like the F1 GTR, Mazda 787B and maybe one of the TS050 since one holds the Track Record

Porsche Expansion
919 Hybrid
911 RSR GTE
And Pick some Cars from Assetto Corsa DLCs

I personally love DLC, it means basically that even though the game is released and good to go you still have more to look forward to down the line. My only gripe would be is if it is "You have to have this to complete the game" then it's a problem, but as an Extra optional for a small fee I have no gripes :)

The Video game industry has some dastly deeds that I definitely don't agree with but DLC isn't one of them.

Anyway looking at the packs, I kinda would prefer not to have packs that focus on one Manufacture.

The whole Porsche is in Racing Games not made by EA hype now has kinda died down a bit for me but I still look forward to seeing what they have to offer.

The Ferrari expansion as well, I was annoyed people voted the 2017 F1 Car over more Iconic Ferrari's in Assetto Corsa's Ferrari pack but alas, I hope this one will make up for it ;D

I look forward to seeing what the Fun and Le Mans icons back are about to.

All in all bring em on, I will more than likely purchase all 4 :)

For anyone wondering, the season pass is already available separately (On XBL at least) and does include the motorsport pack.

Not sure what you do for a living and frankly I don't care. But would you be willing to do whatever it is you do for the same salary that your occupation averaged in 2005?

Looks like a nice bunch of car packs. Some really fantastic editions already in the base game not seen elsewhere or making a return from last gen racing games. Great to see the Big Three all there (Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche) not to mention Nissan, Jaguar and the Panoz Esperante

I don't think people like you apriciate how expensive it is to produce games these days... back when I first started buying games (1980's) they cost the same as they do today (minus inflation of course...). The difference is now the budget to produce a video game (AAA) haso increased 100 fold. Yet the game developers still sell the game for the same price as they did 30 years ago. So what's the means for them to make their money? DLC. I get it. Why? Because I've been around to see the entire evolution of the video games industy. Do you know that to produce a single track can take a team of 6 people 6 months to make? A car? 3 months. If these assets aren't in the game when it goes gold then they need to keep paying people to work to make the "EXTRA" content. I find it difficult to believe you can't understand that. The problem these days isn't with paid DLC. The problem these days is with people's sense of intitlement.

On part two of the QA with Ozzie, Ian gave strong hints to Fiorano and Mugello, which are awesome additions.

Let´s not forget Interlagos, and it´s pretty much a safe bet that there will be more than four tracks on DLC.

Also, he gave a cryptic comment about ovals, a possible announcement and that he would like more short ovals. I hoping that they are indeed talking with Nascar, because the addition of Indy was great, and Nascars properly would be incredible for everyone who likes oval racing and doesn´t want to put up with iRacing BS business model.

I wonder if one of the Community Liveries, is the Liqui Moly Bathurst 12H #1 GT-R. it was shown in pre-release screen shots, but it's not in game at release.

The Le Mans pack sounds promising. I really hope it has a historic version of the track, with no chicanes...from the 70s or early 80s would be great. Would love to see some more older Le Mans cars as well, from the 60s and 70s (Shelby GT Cobra anyone??).

The fun pack will almost gaurenteed have 1 or 2 drift cars to go with Mad Mike's MX5. VGJ Mustang is a prime candidate, but so is Forsberg's 370z, or Aasbo's Scion TC...or even DMac's insane Audi Quattro. Kind of not my thing though.

How about an old Mini Cooper to race against the Ford Escort in Historic RX?

For the Porsche pack, it better have some kind of RUF CTR Yellowbird....what's the point in having the Nordschleif if you don't have a Yellowbird? :P

Ian confirmed in a stream Q&A that these are the packs. Ferrari one contains ones that are very Ferrari. Fiorano? Mugello?

I'd also love to see Mugello in the Ferrari pack as I think it's a terrific hotlapping and racing circuit and a great test bed for faster cars. But Fiorano is something I've never raced in a game and I'd be pretty stoked to see a circuit never featured in any of the big name recent sims or semi-sims:sly:.

The only time I drove Fiorano was when being shouted at by fellow Southampton fan Tiff Needell.

Although it might not be Fiorano. It might be Vallelunga or Adria.

... back when I first started buying games (1980's) they cost the same as they do today

... and the videogame/PC market size was considerably smaller.

I'm not saying you don't have a point but let's not pretend they are not using the easiest way to make more money.

p.s.

My approach to DLC is wait until all is detailed and then maybe buy a season pass. This "it will have cars and tracks" is not enough for me .
