SwillieThanks Symtex for the nice pics and those videos are sharp....although I find it hard to even watch someone else drive with the chase camera angle, nonetheless drive that way myself. Hey does the demo let you pick a different camera?? May we see ???
Well that's your opinion ofc, photorealistic is just an art style, not a level of detail. But is gt4 the most realistic looking game you have seen? If not, show me the racing game you think looks more realistic.SymtexI don't like the word photorealistic. no game on this generation is close to the level of details needed to call it Photorealistic. If you have read my previous post on this board, Some of the track visual (Fuji Speedway, Tsukuba) are extremely well done.
I think Technicaly, Gran Turismo 4, texture are still low-res and the game still needs anisotropic and AA samples but I think they did a very good job with what they had to work with, Kudos to PD for that. Some of the screenshot or video I've done are very very very good. It's going to be a quality products.
tiptopcreamThe words "crap" and "quality" come to mind.![]()

SymtexThat is exactly how the game looks. so are you saying GT4 is looks like quality crap ? i don't follow you. I tried really hard to make the best grab with the best camera view possible.
tiptopcreamWhat so the image on my tv is going to be an horrble blurry mess? Were talking PS2 here not Xbox with it's blurry RGB output.![]()
Aesop RockFourmula 1 Challenge 99-02, its for pc, and GT-R, another PC sim, absolutely BLOW AWAY GT-4, and Forza
linoleumSymtex - don't take it personally, but that looks blurry. Just my personal opinion.
SymtexBlurry RGB output ? are you freaking kidding me ? have you ever tried to capture a car in motion ? You guys are really pissing me off. I kept going out of my way to bring you new media and all you do is crap on them.
Yes the game looks like that in motion. What can I say. an xbox in components in 10x better than any s-video and composite so you don't know what the hell you are talking about.
tiptopcreamIt's a universal fact the Xbox has a poor RGB output compared to PS2.Have I ever tried to capture a moving car? Yes I have with my old ATI card, and it looked a damn sight better than your captures. But sadly that card has passed away.

That is so very true. It will be years untill we see computer games up to GT4 standards, graphics wise.cobragtMaybe technically but in visuals, those games look old and tired. Remember, PC games tend to look very computerizedHonestly, there's no racing game on the pc that looks half as realistic as gt4.

my captures aren't high-res photoshops, yet i think it's acceptable quality to represent how GT4 really looks:SymtexSo when I'm going to receive my import japanese copy, you don't want me to post any video or picture of the game ? If according to GT community standard, if it's not high-res photoshop, it's not acceptable ?
*shakes heads*

this is only S-Video: i play PS2 on my TV using RGB Scart and GT4 looks slightly better than this
but don't be misguided, we appreciate ur pics and the time u put into it, so keep em coming - some Falken GTR on Nürburgring pics would be welcome since my cheapo TV-card can't handle NTSC![]()
just jump alreadySymtex
