430PP European 'Hot Hatch' Championship

Good question. Probably not due to the Europe restriction. So Ford Focus, an actual hot hatch and one of Europe's top selling hot hatches, is not eligible. But, you can enter an Elise.

But you can use a Lotus or a Hommel!

Sorry I'm having trouble letting go old that but I really like the Hot Hatch race and I'm frustrated with PD phoning this one in. :irked:

They could have built a list of HATCHBACKS that were eligible instead of doing the lazy thing and making this a Euro compact race. At least name it the right thing PD!

:banghead:

This is very disappointing from PD. Inattention to details like race regs is ridiculous. Whoever is putting up these Events needs a QC lesson. Really, you can't use the Focus? Pitiful.

It is a hot hatch after all.

Oh HECK yeah!!!

Eifel was giving me a royal pain. Won on my first attempt with this car. PHOTO FINISH too.

My time / GT Golf time both 6:16.500!
I won by a licence plate bracket nut

Thanks for the timely tune!

As usual, here is my video for this weeks events.

Oy, I saw one of your posts on here and subscribed to your channel, now I watch these seasonal vids each week! 👍

I was rocking an Alfa Romeo 147 with pretty stock settings minus transmission and suspension, was having a pretty good time with it. Might try Oink's choice the Z4 for a few.

And the penalties on Top Gear were rather...touchy may I say. I got cropped a few times when I didn't see a single boundary I could have crossed. Oh well still took it home.

No problem. Glad to know my tune is helping others. Everyone loves a photo finish!

I just bought an S3 '02 from the UCD, a little tuning here and some upgrades there and we'll see how it goes. Anyone try this car yet?

I used the s3 for the first two, but it didn't make much of itself at rome or tgtt, so I used an elise '96 with engine 1 and turbo 3 with some ballast and power limiter. Talk about catching some penalties! Anything under 80mph and it just turned right into a penalty zone. Then when I finally catch the lead car he hits me for being on the racing line and I get a ramming penalty!!!

I beat the 1st two races with a stock Audi TT 1.8 03, for the rome race and the nurg GP, i used a mini cooper S 11 with the 05 cooper S tune from pariano. I have yet to beat the last one because of the 33 second head start the AI gets on a course that takes under a minute to complete, if anyone has a car/tune for that one i'd greatly appreciate it.

I ran a BMW 330i from the UCD. All I did was add the racing transmission and bottom the top speed out for the small tracks and set it at 128 for the longer tracks.

This car is absolutely great in high speed corners, much more balanced than most of the cars used in this seasonal. Not the best for low speed corners, but this car worked great on the Top Gear Test Track. Won by 4sec. 👍 happy racing

I try with the Volvo 240, MINI Cooper S 2011 and Audi A2 and I couldn't get to win, until I run with the Lupo GTi Cup Car.

I'm finding TGTT very trying, I've managed a very close second, some 0.1 seconds behind the leader, after what seemed like an arbitrary penalty for running wide on the widest part of the track with no lines or cones on the arbitrary edge of the 'acceptable' line.

I won't be wasting any time on the Kart track race so this is the last one I'll be trying to win.

thanks will try it

The Clio V6 with some basic modification will win comfortably for the first 4 races. Went into 1st at Madrid with more than a lap to go.
For the cart track the Renault is not quite direct enough, changed to the Mini Cooper S 07 for the cart track and won on the second try, although admittedly it was tighter than the others , only a couple of seconds to spare. Agree with an earlier poster though, with all the available tracks why do we have to have a cart track on EVERY special event? Its a bit bollox.
